Not too much to update, the neck is finally ready to polish. I also made some custom brackets to mount the pistons and hoses.

I have been busy with another big project.
But lately I managed to fit in some time to getting the metal bust finished.
I need to cut the main support tube to length (that’s why the skull is sitting so high), currently test fitting and welding the steel frame up. Next the shoulder mounts.
I have finished the wooden base for it all to bolt to as well.
The skull has a slight forward tilt for a more menacing look.
Getting so close to being complete!
Little more polishing to do on the neck.

Threw some bits onto the unfinished base to get a rough idea of the final look. Not much longer, few more welds on the base so I can mount all the shoulder pistons.

Thanks. Now with the base, stand and all parts. Close to 40kg. Pewter is a heavy Metal.

Wired up the base and the skull. Got the neck all polished up and weathered. Just a few little welds, paint the steel frame. And it’s complete

The back steel plate finally turned up today so I got to drilling the holes for the piston mounts. Just a few welds and it will be complete. I balanced a few parts in place as I was marking out the holes and took a few pictures. Hopefully the next post will be the bust completed.
