Done / Completed Solid aluminum Beskar Steel («COVID BRICKS») - SOLD OUT

Mine is apparently in the same shipment. Whenever it does get here (and I’ll be patient) I have the aluminum black finish waiting for it.

Don’t feel bad, that wasn’t the purpose of my inquiry... just surprised and concerned now.
Do you mean May 4th? I’m in the first group and mine wasn’t shipped until April 21

Anyone else in the 1st group still waiting? Has everyone’s left Russia now?

Mine was shipped on April 21st and the last update I got was:

By the way I was in the first batch and I’m in NewYork

When the Zvezda star destroyer came out I bought one from a guy in Russia. After a couple weeks it hadn’t shown. Bought another from same guy. Second one showed up in 2 weeks, followed by the first one a few days later.....l

I haven’t checked much lately as there simply hasn’t been any movement but here’s my latest for reference:

Batch #1, California
Shipped: April 21
Last update: April 27

Mine got delivered last week and it would have been perfect if the bricks haven't been damaged.
Both bricks came with a damaged edges. For both dents are pretty much the same this most likely happened during transport.
As those were not insured there is nothing one can do.

For my taste this flaw is too much and I'm letting them go for reasonal offers, if someone is even interested.
(Due to the corona crisis shipping outside of Europe is currently outrageous expensive.)

Thanks, lukyanov, nontheless for making this run possible!

Yeah, shipping is weird...I got a package from Singapore in a few weeks, but Russia not so much, and I'm waiting on things from England and Lithuania, whose tracking is terrible...still says it's in preshipment four weeks later. I can't figure it out...just gotta have faith.

MEANWHILE, the shirt I ordered from California is totally lost between the USPS and UPS. SIGH. ;)

Hey, GREAT video...not having much experience with Aluminum Black...how long after the process is complete can you handle the metal? Does it need to dry completely?

You will need to rinse with water to stop the chemical reaction. Otherwise the AB will continue to eat away at the metal. You can always dilute the AB in water to slow down the reaction to give you more working time if you don’t want to use full strength. But in essence you are handling it the entire time.

Apply AB, rinse with water, dry. Repeat if needed. Sand. If too much AB is removed, then repeat process again.

You need to wash thoroughly with water to remove the aluminium black. Then its safe to handle. As you can see in the video, I took too much of it back off. The longer you leave the backing on there, the deeper it goes, so i could've left it going for 10-20mins more probably

You have to be careful, you won't get many goes on this piece before you sand away the detail [emoji846]
