SDCC08 - Dr WHO Replicas!

It actually comes with instructions for totally dismantling the screwdriver, what paint to use, etc...

Mine was deader than a door nail no matter what I tried. My wife's screwdriver would just flicker.

Mine made it back to MFX yesterday and Martina told me they should be re-shipping soon. I'm waiting on pins and needles for the new shipping confirmation. And it's killing me! I only had the sonic for 4 days before it went back and I'm suffering some serious withdrawls. But waiting a few more days will be worth it for a perfect sonic.

I think, on balance, as I'm only about 40 or so miles from MFX, I'll just send it back and have them sort it out- they'll know what they are doing far more than I...

I am still waiting 'patiently' to get mine at all. Okay, maybe not so patiently anymore.

Well, since I got no email today, I assume it will be Monday at the earliest before it ships out. (At least I hope it will ship out on Monday).

FINALLY got FedEx to pickup the package and its on its way.

FedEx in Canada is BEYOND the worst courier I have dealt with.

I haven't checked this thread in a loooong time. So I went over and checked the MFX web site and am I correct that the price is £219.00? Roughly $359 USD?

Yeah, close to $500 total each. If you live in the US.
WRONG. Try more like $435 for the total including Fed Ex Next Day Air shipping to the USA... at least, that's what it was working out to when I ordered mine back in July.

This thread almost had me convinced last night, I came really close to spending $300 more than I could afford on this prop, but then I went to ebay and made a smaller unnecessary purchase of a Tom Baker scarf. Now when I think about buying an SS my brain tells me I've spent too much money lately. It's the little tricks that keep me from living on the street.

I really thought on this one for a long time. The price was a bit higher than I wanted pay for one of these but what can you do.

I do wish I would have known in advance that they were not going to be a numbered limited edition though. I bought one to play with and one to leave in the box as a collectors piece, but to be honest, if I would have known they were not numbered I would have only bought one.

I thought it would come with a plaque (like the prototype) with an edition number on it similar to the SDCC photo or something. This thread was up for over a year, I suppose I could have posted and asked :lol.
