Argh. Is that so they have a list of perps if anything "questionable" gets shared?

The RPF has a member that hosts images; we might ask if he could host the pep files, if people are concerned about 4shared...?

I'm not too worried about it. If an issue does ever come up, I can move the files over to another source for downloading. 4shared was just convenient (and free). They also don't require any extraneous info, outside of an email address to confirm.

Hey I cut out the foam templates last night for the helmet and the chin doesn't seem to add up. The end piece of the chin needs to be a little bigger in order for it to be flush with the side of the chin.

I build in straight paper, and everything looks good there. I can ask Gaiatron to take a look at the foam unfold and see if he can spot a problem. I'll take a look too. Can you post a picture of the problem area? Thanks.

***EDITED*** I just checked the foam template and compared to the model and paper files, the chin piece is identical in size and fit. The chin flare as it extends back from that end piece. The flare is harder to see in the foam template file, so I attached a pic of the paper pep chin for reference. Let me know if this helps :thumbsup

Sure thing. I will probably get to it tomorrow. This is my first build from pepakura, I did a Thor chest for halloween but it was from an image. Maybe I'm too new to this style.

cant see any problems as of now. i'll post something after i build the main helmet and combine it the lower jaw.

I didn't get a chance to get into craft mode, but maybe I am trying to piece it together wrong. what is the recommended thickness of foam?

This is awesome, thanks for the hard work! I will take a crack at building the foam helmet, i'm not sure if I have enough left after finishing my gundam head but I will post wip pics to see if I can get the chin and everything to line up.

well, after cutting a few pieces i realized this is scaled about 4 inches to small for my head. the height is only 8 and a little over a half inches. I need about 11. So to re-scale and re-print. I will need to go buy more foam, I only have a sheet and a half left. So maybe I wont finish this today after all. =(

I'm checking the upload scales for the helmet right now, Let me see what I can find.

I appreciate you being a guinea pig! The 24" diameter head estimate was taken from an inner circumference measurement off of the helmet, but it's looking like that's not a reliable way to scale this. Let me know how it goes, and what I should adjust to make this fit. I'll pull the 24" scale estimate off the post until this gets fixed.
