Who doesn't love Revan!? Looking forward to this.
Thanks !

this is still my third saber and the first neopixel, so I am trying hard to do it right the first time.

I have uploaded the wiring diagram, which seems right to me, but any check will be appreciated :)

I also would like to work a bit on the hilt itself, to give it a vit of weathering. What would be a good way to start this ?

Hi everyone, best wishes for 2022 !

Got to work on the weathering on the hilt with Aluminum Black and Chestnut wash from Citadel.
Really liked the result for now.

Do you know how to weather the copper ?

Could always give it a vinegar vapor bath

Thank you ! I will have a look
I have a tutorial somewhere on here. I got a jar, put a plastic put inside the jar and poured vinegar inside it about 1/4 of the way up, then put the copper on top of the cup inside, the jar so it’s not submerged in the vinegar. Close the lid and check every 24 hours

If it gets green give a buff with 0000 steel wool, and after that if it’s too light, let is vapor soak for another 24 hours

Think of the battery as the part I wanted to age
Yep that is what I have done as well.

Left it for 4-5 hours in a closed container. I got a nice green patina. One thing I did not know is that it is surface patina and it goes off when ringing with water. So tried again, sanded it with steel wool and got a pretty nice result.

For now, I am going with a old/used look, but with this technique, you could go all the way to the "Relic" weathering.

Thank you for your help Halliwax !
