Request for reference, discussion. Prequel and clan sabers.

A big thing about these is the mixed media look for me, which no one has nailed... yet...

Yep. Usually replicas are all metal and one solid, raw metal color, or they’re all metal, with the body anodized to simulate the painted resin of the originals. Neither looks right.

I think you would like the bead blasted look that people used to to accomplish this in all metal hilts. To me it looked more accurate than anodizarion.

I want to call attention to these Saber Hilts seen in Episodes 2 and 3, the first few are seen in the hands of background Jedi during the Battle of Geonosis and the last few are a design seen used by Zett Jukassa and Whie Malreaux.

This one appears to be Obi Wan’s completely silver and without the pommel.

Does anyone have any better images of these hilts, sadly it’s very slim pickings online.

I'm going to look for some, these are sooo weird. The first few... the blades must be really light for them to be holding them by the pommel like that.

The obi without the pommel is also very interesting to me, and a clever use of available hilt molds

The last honestly looks like they put Ki-Adi Mundi's emitter on a piece of lathed pipe.....

Yeah, in the clip I took the first Luminara pic from she’s twirling it like no one’s business!

They seem to be the regular carbon tube blades.

It doesn’t show in the pics but the bottom Saber has a gold section at the bottom.

Funnily enough Ki Adi Mundi uses a different Lightsaber in ROTS, similar to the other hilt it appears to be Eeth Koth/Kit Fisto’s emitter and pommel on a piece of lathed pipe.

Here are good references for the Adi Gallia/Shaak Ti Lightsaber, a hero version with Mixed Resin and Metal and stunt versions in just Resin.

I wish I had those programs that saber makers have that they use to make line drawings and 3D images from pictures.

Has anyone ever created an replica of this saber in the accurate materials?
Not that I’m aware of.

Closest would be the Dewy/Anakin Starkiller Obi Wan phantom menace hilt which is aluminum and Delrin, much more reliable plastic than cast resin, pretty reasonable replacement for a multi hilt run

For these council sabers… you’d have to do what they did - machine a master in wood or aluminum or.. even ren shape? Idk what they used.. but then you would mold the parts with a threaded rod in the mold, and stack the metal parts on top or bottom.. cut and grind the emitter flat!

Here are some pictures of Shaak Ti's hero saber
