Working on a Star Wars E-Wing design.
Blueprints, canon, and non-canon designs from the web can't agree on this craft. Some have droid sockets, and differ on cockpits, wings and hull shape. I took inspiration from all of them and created a design that I think works. The blueprints and pictures suggest that the E-wing had semi-foldable wings, possibly to accommodate a smaller set of landing gear when folded upwards, similar to a Klingon Bird of Prey. Documentation conflict on whether the struts hold the wing in place or not. To me, putting engines on the wings and lasers right next to them looks a bit messy, so I brought the engines onto the fuselage. On one of my wing designs I have folding wings which are more trapezoidal, similar to a Battlestar Galactica Viper, and the other has non-folding wings with more of a softer curved appearance.
The scale I'm designing it in is 1:24, but I'm thinking I should print it out in 1:16 and put in a 3.75 inch figure in it.

Documentation varies on the placement of the proton torpedo launchers. I put mine underneath the fuselage. I'm also thinking the the wing weapons could have a pylon where different weapons could be mounted depending on the mission...similar to present day 4th generation fighters.

I'm on the fence whether I will design a panel pattern for this (which may make it a bit chunkier looking when printed, or leave it smooth and scribe panel lines.
