I wouldn't even bother asking yourself these questions, the writers didn't.Currently watching the latest episode and immediately many questions come to my mind. For instance, are the mercs all Borg now? And if so, how come they don't move like the Borg? Or even look like the Borg? Have the writers even seen how the Borg is portrayed in classic Trek?
And why would a hologram need to run from gunfire? IT'S A FREAKING HOLOGRAM.

Is Jurati still munching Duracell to make more Nanoprobes?![]()
Another filler episode?Jurati must be the most OP Borg Queen to date, benefiting from Kurtzman's tentacle fetish.
Thanks, Alley, I've been looking at this wrong the whole time. You've just helped me purge and cleanse my soul!I really liked what I saw. I have often remarked that Starfleet had long taken the wrong tactic with the Borg.
It was obvious to me, from the moment that I first saw “Q Who”, that the Borg were simply a traumatized group that were driven to forcibly assimilate and essentially mutilate and subjugate other species by their need to feel a sense of belonging and community.
What they needed was for someone to spend maybe 4-5 minutes “talking it out” with them to change their ways and become a more benevolent group.
It made me smile and warmed my heart when Agnes was able to “talk it out” with the Borg Queen and in the span of about 3-5 minutes, changed the entire mission of the Borg.
If there is one thing I have learned from this season of Picard, it is that there is no trauma that cannot be immediately overcome by a 3-5 minute pep-talk. From the “bumper sticker wisdom” shared by Synth Picard with Renae, to the spoonful of “Chicken Soup for the Soul” Agnes gave to the Borg Queen.
Yes, I think there is hope that life changing wisdom may be found by reading the bumper stickers all around us.
