Finished off the bottle screws so I could finish the rigging. Long day but well worth it. Only the fish hooks and fishing rod left to make.

Too late to make a video (maybe the 6th scale version ,which at M3 I can make work with left and right hand threads) but I will make a drawing showing the process if you want.

hello flimzy yepthat would be great I consider my self a fairly visual learner but the old noggin cant grasp these for some reason. is the middle section first turned them milled, hollowed out ?

First I cut the rod to length, then I made a jig to put the 2 flats in the middle, I then used the same jig to cut the slot between the flats. The drilled and taped both ends,M2. At this point I could put it in the hex collet to shape the ends.

Try cutting him like Brody. Remember, Hooper was chunky in stature. The look might be right in that figures case.

flimzy - as always, your attention to detail is amazing and I respect your not shying away from the work. That Hopper figure is going to be a chore! How does the shoulder width compare?

I think his head is going to look a bit bobble head like. If I just cut him down.
I could always get boop to have a go at my 6th scale version and shrink him down.

Slightly off topic but today I have to do a bit of adulting before winter come. I had a small leak in my 150 your old little house so had to completely retile .

but I don’t own a tile cutter knife, so made this.

I’ve got jaws on the mind at the moment.

No you just never know what to expect. I should organise going down there with a friend . But I’m going on a club day so ther might be hundreds of boats there and I can’t get any good shots. And the best angles are low down on the boat but then I’d see the trees and all the people. This might be the last sunny day and the leafs are coming down now so the water might look bad. It’s a crap shoot.

I’ve shrunk hooper and he,ll be good enough for tomorrow. Cart ready only the hook on the side to make and she’s finished.
