I love you Omarbou1 and your unfolders! :love:lol
This mark VII is fantastic. When I have some time, i'll make it.:popcorn

Re: Omarbou1's IM mark VII pep files- V2 bicep and thigh uploaded !

Jayc , that is AMAZING.. you know, ithought for a very long time of what color i will use for my suit and i wanted the EXACT effect you achieved !
because it is the most accurate brushed gold as in the sdcc statue !!

Yeah me too. This was my third attempt and it worked out exactly the way i wanted.
Now its time for the rest. I allready finished the chest before you uplaoded yours. Too bad. Right now in bondo stage.
Will you be working on the abs as well? because i also made that part but im worried that its too small. Wouldnt be bad to have an easyier PDO file as backup.
The darksiders Abs were a pain in the *ss. :p

Re: Omarbou1's IM mark VII pep files- V2 bicep and thigh uploaded !

great news guys darkspawn sent me the unfolded pdo file for the chest ! i am going to finish the transfer of my files to my new computer and then i will go on the cod as dremel suggested ;)

After seeing this file I have decided to scrap my darkside chest, back, abs and cod and wait for yours and build the chest now and I must say outstanding work as per usual man! Going to build my suit entirely for your files minus the helmet and possibly the boots :D

well obviously not now but yeah ! and i thought of a way to make them so everybody can mod them to fit their waist
good build ;)

Hey, Very nice job on the Chest :thumbsup
thanks man ! what happened to your mark 7 model ?!

WOW!! that's an honor !
btw for the helmet you might want to wait i have a little surprise ;)
as for the chest and the rest of my files you should begin fiberglass and everything ! the last part i have to model are the most complicated so it might take some time ..

what happened to your mark 7 model ?!

Back burner... I'll get around to finishing it eventually...

Just as soon as I can devote TIME TO IT, instead of to anti-hacking measures to stop thieves, you know?

fortunatly i never had to deal with it but i guess its what comes with the job... but we have to defend our models !
nobody can understand how we feel more than other modellers.. putting that much time into a model to see that soome thieves is taking credits for our hard work ..
i know you have to deal alot with it.. that sucks.. but hey that's because your model are too awesome !

It's sad that you guys slave day in and day out for love of the build. Only for some snake to come along and rip it off. Disgusting...GM

I have a problem with the elbow. I already made 3 elbow parts in different scales and none works. Or it doesn't fit the lower part of the bicep, or it's too big to fit between the bicep and the upper forearm. Can someone help me?

!
the elbow is a little tricky because the bicep joint is the worst of all so maybe you want to freehand it :/ im sorry its a really tricky part ... just make it so the back curve follows the bicep's back curve and then for the joint you can either glu it to the upper forearm or the bicep or you can freejand the joint !

exactly... seeing our hard work stolen is really hard. especially when he gets complimented and all that just upsets me

yeah, i cut some things on the elbow and here's the result (i think it's actually good :) ):

its perfect!
you know youu got the scale right when the elbow is an "extension" of the two lines in the back of the bicep

If what you are saying is correct..it would not really be that difficult right?
1. Scale the bicep to your size arm.
2. measure it between the two points of the 'lines' you are talking about. We name this distance A.
3. set the scale of the elbow so that the distance B, as where the lines continue described in point 2, is the same as A .

But i wil notice as soon as i get to this part.

I have a bigger problem!
How do you guys get the neck to fit! Did you cast it in Silicone or by using some mechanism (hinge)??
I want to keep the same fibreglass look and color as the rest of the suit.

Progress so far.. Kinda slow due to work commitments :facepalm

Question: Is the forearm a little short??

I think it's good, but the forearm like that you won't be able to put the handplate.

Yeah, i followed the steps before, but the problem is that it will be too long to be in the gap between the forearm and the bicep.
I didn't do the neck yet, but i was thinking about putting two hinges in the back and maybe some magnets in the front.
