Will you steam slim the other shoe first? Someone will be lucky if they buy that pair with both done, or be super peeved when they discover two different looking shoes. And unless they frequent these board, may not appreciate the slimmed toe.
Yep i will slim toe them exactly the same way i did.
I will maybe remove the swoosh, to be able to flat lace perfectly without worrying of the swoosh, plus it will make me able to paint it into tropic sun yellow without having to cover the shoes.
Today i am going to buy an x-acto knife, blue scotch tape, try to find some transparent paper that can be printed with laser printer for the strap logo and the EL panel going to grab a seringue at work.
The only thing i need to find is a good shoe glue, there are a lot of nice product in usa but in france it seems to be hard to find one that leaves a professional result, i only found loctite FT220 but it is only sold for factories as i understood.
I am a bit sad that my 9.5 didn't fit me because i know that you don't have cavx yet the 10 size soles, and i was really hoping to get it when the paint would be done (in nearly 2,3 weeks now with shipping back) :(

I may be wrong, but I think that the yellow you see is just neon/fluorescent.
Well i called the French Angelus paints reseller and i showed him the collor i wanted to match and he said that in Angelus product, it is the closest color he has.

So im working on the Nike strap upgrade today....I have markpoons upgrade kit which has two small tabs coming out the el pannel. How do I determine which is postive and negative ? Also I bought some wire tape for the strap. So im guessing all i need to do is lay the postive and negative tab of the el pannel onto the postive and negative part of the wire tape add some wire glue on top and i should be good to go ? Or should I not use the wire tape and just use thin postive and negative wire to attach to the tabs of the el pannel and use some wire glue ?

Maybe you could try createx paints? I think that they are fairly durable and flexible.
Paints will crack, i need a dye, dyes are especially made for soles and midsoles and soft enough to be bended.
The splatter should not crack due to the fact that it's small, the only thing that i take the risk to crack is the swoosh.
If it cracks i'll just go buy some thick vynil to the color i need.

Here's my painting kit

And the tropic sun yellow color without flashlight.

Does anyone have a good source of the cyan color cuttable EL sheet? All I can find is green or blue.

EL does not have a set positive and negative. The inverters MUST be connected properly or they just don't work. The sheet gets connected with a wire to each.

Did some work to the mags I plan to use as my display pair. Repainted the midsole to the lighter grey, applied new splatter then painted the Nike mag lettering. Built a new set of leds, without resistors, while I was there I modded the led bubble by making it stick out farther and frosting it. Built a new strap to attach to my cloneprops ankle buckle which houses all the electronics then permanently attached the cp ankle buckle to the shoe. Installed the switch in the cuff and slimmed the toe. Just need to get the clear soles fitting a bit better, glue the upper back on to the midsole then I'm done........ With one shoe lol ImageUploadedByTapatalk1441517713.597886.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1441517738.288163.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1441517748.619253.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1441517781.405686.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1441517791.775338.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1441517812.732839.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1441517824.562433.jpg

What's the general consensus to the screen accurate color of the splatter? I got some turquoise Angelus, but the more I look at the screen used pair I'm thinking the color is more blue. This is the screen used pair I'm talking about, not on the RD, in case there is a subtle difference.

@booshman is the "colour is more blue" in reference to your paint or the screen used shoes?

I want to say they are slightly more green, but then again, it could be a capture/monitor thing that changes what the colour looks like.

If in doubt, mix your own starting with equal amounts of green, blue and white, then adding more green/blue if too light.

I want to know f the colour on the screen used Mag is more blue than the turquoise I have, which looks quite green. Looking at this pic it looks particularly blue, but how accurate is is I don't know.

Cheers for the extra pic. The colour I have is definitely darker than the green looking colour, and a little lighter than the last pic you posted. I'll have to see how it looks once I have the proper grey mixed, I may have to darken it slightly. Gonna have to wait until I can get some new paints sent from th UK, the price for Angelus in China is ridiculous, $66US for a 4oz bottle!

Ouch! Reminds me of the coffee I bought for 66 yuan. When I converted that in Aussie dollars it was $12.40. We were $0.91USD at the time. See if you can get some cheap water based paints for experimenting with.

They are size 10

That's a pricey coffee!

My sister is coming to visit in November, so I'll have her be my Angelus mule.
