The Barge Infinity has been mentioned a few times in the past. It is a gel glue? Does it stain? Right now I am using Tarzan's Grip because it does not stain the cloth and bonds really well if you can let it set up for 24 hours. It is also a gel glue.

The V2 midsoles have a series of holes to cut down the weight and to make the sole a bit more flexible and softer to walk on. The rubber itself if quite hard, so if the soles were solid, they would be both heavy and hard under foot.

The easiest way to get the upper off is to start at the Heel Cup. With a bit of heat, it is almost scary how easy they break at this point. Once you open the heel, the mid sole pretty much lifts away as you work your way to the front.

TIP: Unless you can an expert at re-building shoes, do not remove the upper entirely. In the last sock toe mod I did, the upper was attached at the part where the lights are. The rest came off. This made bonding the upper back much easier and sock toe came out really good.

with barge for me it doesnt stain leather at all when it drys you can peel it off. With cloth however I think it might be problem. It is a clear gel glue and if you heat it up it pretty much sticks with out clamps

Any links for them? Your right I did the math the halloween ones are $100 plus ebay has the decals for $80 including lights depending on how much the V2s are I should Just buy those. are they bright too with the led lights?

Here are the V2s

Take half a lower size US to your usual size. They will feel small at the beginning but it's just a matter of a few day until they feel right.

V2s are more expensive of course but they are much more confortable than HC's and they already have the swoosh and letters so they won't come off.

The HC's are just crap, i have a 10 size pair with swoosh mod and but when you wear them, they're just not good looking at all and look like big boots !
On the HalloweenCostume, you won't be able to flat lace the shoes, i tryed for hours to, the laces are just too fat, on V2s in 2 minutes, it's done.
Do you plan to have them as one day wear pair then display or a daily wearing pair ?

Klen Can you show us your flat laces please?
I tried on my V2s with an iron and towel but it did not change that much...

@Vormz You're lucky i brought them at work lol !
The way i did it was risky, i used a napkin that i bended once, made it just a bit wet.
I used this iron to do the mod

and i was steaming non stop doing the mod, BUT ! You take the risk to make the midsole's paint stick a bit to the napkin, i found out that without REAL heat the laces didn't flat enough and i didn't care if the paint was being removed because i'm going to dye midsoles.
Other thing to know is that with the heat, the midsoles glue with get hot and you will probably have to reglue them.

Here are my V2s, i should receive angelus paints next week (crossing fingers)

You can barely see it on the pictures but i did emmet's steam method and it's the bomb ! no wrinkles as you can see, when i had some i could remove them when the sock toe was hot with my fingers inside the shoes and tadaaaaaa ! (always fill the inside of the shoe with a t-shirt when you're heating the toe box !)

I will tonight @BTTFSpencer with my phone, i grabbed a worker's phone.
I didn't make the toe too "flat" because i wanted to be able to wear those without feeling the toe box so they're probably not as flat as RDs or Jedifyfe's, and i if i would have gone farther in the toe mod, wrinkles would be instantly seen and i wouldn't have been able to hide them.

Talking about Jedifyfe you're getting famous even in france Brad ( article ) ! =)

Here are my tips for the steam toe box mod :

1) Fill as deep and hard possible the shoe with a tshirt to prevent the toe box collapsing when you will heat it
2) Take a thin towel or a napkin (bend the napkin once to have a double layer) and make it just a little bit wet so the toe box won't drink the water on your towel.
3) For 10 seconds with your iron steam, rub all of the toe box to heat it so we'll be able to shape it
4) Do a second 10 seconds passing to start shaping the toe and push VERY gently the iron on the shoe.
5) Repeat the 3rd step and the 4 until you get the shape you want.

Never ever try to push the toe box with your hand from the outside of the shoe, you will just create more wrinkles.

As soon as you see a wrinkle, remove the t-shirt in the shoe while the toe box is still hot and with your fingers spread the wrinkle.
If you see multiples wrinkles coming then you reached the limit of the modification if you push lower the toe box, even if you spread the wrinkles, you will see them on the sides of it.

Last tip is when you got the shape desired, put your foot inside the shoe while the toe box is still hot to form it with your toes, sit and stand up so the space done will be perfect for a wearing pair so when it will be back to hard it won't hurt your little toes !

Wow thanks a lot! I plan to wear them for Halloween pretty much I already have all the clothes, buying the board but need the shoes. Any help with making the lights better and does the strap glow in these?

Not happy with the left toe, so have opened the shoe up yet again to see if I can correct the mistake. Another one I did on this pair was to resew the stitching you have to unpick to get the toe box out. I think this causes the pulling and the ridge. It is sitting much flatter now.
bronxkid409 No the straps do not glow out of the box.

@Klen Nice! I am liking those black shoes.
Thanks cavx i am sending them back to seller because they're too small so i'm going to get a size 10 pair.
I just received the Angelus dye/paint kit i didn't have the time to open it yet so i will tell you if tropical sun yellow paint is a good match for the nike bag logo.

Will you steam slim the other shoe first? Someone will be lucky if they buy that pair with both done, or be super peeved when they discover two different looking shoes. And unless they frequent these board, may not appreciate the slimmed toe.
