1st picture is the old style EL Panel, 2nd picture is the new style panel. As you can see...failure point is the same. I did the same thing to both panels. The new softer flexible panel took more effort to break. There's no way it would have anywhere near the stress I put on it though in the shoe, I basically folded it completely back and forth vertical and horizontally until it broke. I also noticed they don't glue the panels down anymore, they are using a double sided tape only on one side of the panel. I think this with the softer more flexible panels are a good combination. Even more importantly...I just think a lot of the issues are quality control issues/assembly. I don't see how they can send me a panel already installed, which clearly has a huge dark spot on it where its trying to separate.

Ah that sucks, I was looking back in a few of the "mag" threads and it seemed a lot of people were making their own straps for the V2's. Do you know what the material was at least? Is it like a PU leather?

Not with the same smooth finish. The vegan leather stuff I have is 1.6mm and really nice, but it has the corrected leather look, so won't match the tongues. It does look closer to the 2011 MAG strap though.

You missed the wave on the middle of the midsole that is really more pronounced on the RDs than the V3s

I've mentioned that a few times and the interesting thing is, when you make parts fro scratch like you did, it is these details that you really pick up on.
What I don't get is, if they 3D scanned the real shoe, this part should have been 100% accurate. Yet it is not.

One thing that really sticks out for me is the loop holes and the profile of the top of the shoes isn't quite right either

The cuff is more puffy and the upper leans back slightly more than it should. Mind you, this is better than the forward lean of all the other earlier versions.

Since the enterprise that made the molds aren't fanatics as we are and aren't into details, they probably didn't see the difference i'm pretty sure.
The anckle bubble is bigger, the laces on the fabric are too pronounced (on some pairs), The NIKE MAG letters on the anckle bubble have little dots that RDs don't have too.

Should not matter if they even care or not. Point is, how does a real part get scanned in and then not come out right? There is something weird going with the letters at the back. They just don't seem to sit where they do on the 2011 shoe. Again, if the source was a 3D scan, how come the inaccuracies?
