After watching this thread for so long I finally bit the bullet now that they dropped in price. Even though I used the discount code after conversion rate it doesn't appear to have actually taken affect bringing my total to $630 AUD.

QC also arrived pics arrived but have requested another pair due to the marks on tongue. Not sure if its the lighting but they look a tad yellow too.

You did get the discount. $630AUD is what I paid for mine after dollar conversion and WU fee. Remember you never get the same exchange rate shown on sites like XE.WU fees are about $22AUD for that exchange.

454USD = 608.629AUD + WU fees

Your soles might turn up slightly yellow. Mine looked quite clear in the QC photos but are not clear in life.

You taking the pair in your photos? Because from what I can see, they look good/. When you reject them, they just get shown to the next buyer.

They ask for payment up front so they can buy these shoes first, then they supply pics.

Overall this pair was pretty good. I can look over the sole but those two smudges on the tongue would drive me crazy.

Just curious before I nod and say "please ship" has anyone been sent these photos that they can tell? Also any defects I have missed and you see please help me identify them.. I think they are flawless but I could be dazzled by excitement..

*Also they didn't send me photos of the box and contents, is this normal or have they just forgotten to do so?

Great job Brad. You wear tested those panels yet? I still think if they were breaking before, they'll do it again. I reckon it's cos the v3s sole i nice and soft rubber, but it's the people who kneel down and really flex them that end up breaking the EL. I want up and down stairs like a tool, or at home, backwards so the soles don't flex. Clearly you'll look like a div in a nightclub, so the best idea by far is adding a VERY sturdy insole with a soft topper.

1st picture is the old style EL Panel, 2nd picture is the new style panel. As you can see...failure point is the same. I did the same thing to both panels. The new softer flexible panel took more effort to break. There's no way it would have anywhere near the stress I put on it though in the shoe, I basically folded it completely back and forth vertical and horizontally until it broke. I also noticed they don't glue the panels down anymore, they are using a double sided tape only on one side of the panel. I think this with the softer more flexible panels are a good combination. Even more importantly...I just think a lot of the issues are quality control issues/assembly. I don't see how they can send me a panel already installed, which clearly has a huge dark spot on it where its trying to separate.

Great test Wizard, much needed testing in the community buddy. That was what I was expecting to hear. They ****ed up by gluing them to the soles. Cavs clear soles also had quite a large area around them for the EL to move by a few mm and not get crushed. Is this the same on the V3s, are does the inner surface of the sole have an area cut perfectly for the panel to squeeze in?

Those Nike logos don't look very centralized to me at all. The straps don't look overly tight either. I'd be asking for an overhead shot with the straps on looser and see how wide the gap is for your leg.

What I do see which is exciting though, is frosted LED bubbles! I'm sure that'll be a win on the forums once others see. The rest of them look brilliant, soles look like the new clear batch etc.

Ah ok I don't know much about the v3's and the details but happy to hear about the bubbles and soles being more accurate than previous version.

I really hope they send me photos of the above shot and yellow box, these have gotta make it to the U.K and I want to ensure there is as little damage to the box as possible!

I have a pen mark on my left buckle. Nothing that can't cleaned off.

Mine are frosted and why I made comment in my video about the need to mod this. The only thing that really needs to be done is turn the brightness down a touch.

For those who want to re-make the straps, i don't know what material was used but it is a strange foamy / vinyl i guess. But it feels like plastic...
anyway if your goal is to match the tongue material, you'd better rebuild the strap AND the tongues from the same batch of material (and i saw that some people begin to have problems on the tongues : scratches from the straps, and under the laces. Makes me guess the tongues are made out of leatherette - i personnally use Vinyl : stronger and cheaper)
