I just added some els and LEDs to my order. Now I'm prepared if anything breaks. Also asked again about adding soles, clears, and buckles to the list of things to buy. Also asked about defective shoes at a discount. I want a pair to wear during the day!

Jedifyfe asked about, I too have not received my EL, but I fully trust @
davidjones888 will come through when they are available.
I would also love the chance at buying complete soles, UV stable sole sections, buckles, you name the part and I am down. I am interested in damaged/defective shoes, and let David know that I would be a buyer of any defective size US13's. I hope he takes me up on that offer, and makes other parts available.
As for a pair to wear during the day, I am roughly 10 days into mine and offer the following observations. EL's and LED's work like a charm. Even inside, in a well lit room, the lights are not worth turning on. At night or in an indirect light environment, the lights are slamming good! Make no mistake, I love these Mags, and I am forever grateful to David's team for the chance to own them!!
I had a touch of the left shoe's inside "rand" (the vertical part of the sole) come unglued at the toe box. The separation was very limited, and occurred at the toe box crease line; basically, the shoe was bending while walking and there was insufficient glue to maintain the adhesion to the upper cloth part of the shoe. I first added some loctite superglue, I believe it was the blue control gel. Some of the superglue was drawn up into the grey cloth of the upper, looking not all that different than the minor glue spots on some pictures. I was mindful of the glue seeping when I applied it and so the glue didn't move up so far as to create a real problem. It cannot be seen during practical wear, studying in a display case would be a different story.
The superglue did not last and the sole separated shortly thereafter. I considered using some Aquaseal I had left over from fixing some fishing waders, and decided to error on the side of caution and bought some McNett Freesole (
https://www.mcnett.com/gearaid/freesole#10410). I followed their instructions (
https://www.mcnett.com/gearaid/blog/re-bonding-boot-rands) using chopsticks and some other shoe laces to clamp the sole and upper while allowing the Freesole to cure. It is hard to say for certain if the Freesole did not seep up as I believe I was over the top cautious to only apply the needed amount. Part of me believes the Freesole did not seep at all. If my suspicion is correct, then Freesole will make an absolute ideal bonding solution as it is flexible, waterproof, strong, and will not bleed into the upper an make glue spots. As for durability, one application of Freesole is to literally rebuild sections of the soles on hiking boots, inclusive of pressing rocks into the adhesive for traction tread (they say you can leave the rocks or pick them out).
Long story short, I am wearing the hell out of these and have little concern for their durability past what could be fixed through simple solutions.
ps - I had people take their picture with me the first night out. :lol
