Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

Might just be me, but I prefer the soles to yellow a bit. I think when they're perfectly clear, they look a bit too 'bling'. It's like when you get a pair of gleaming white trainers, and they (IMO) look a lot better with a bit of wear on them.

I also quite like the frosted bubble. It creates nice bands of light as opposed to (in most cases) out of alignment dots.

Yeah it is just you :p

I would say slightly frosted looks better than slightly yellow.

No, not yet. But I'm thinking of ordering them soon though. But I prefer them without lights if the price is right.

Yes, I might get a pair without lights if that ever come out. Hopefully they won't be over $200 though x)

I'd be interested!
@davidjones888 looks like there are some other people interested in getting several pairs without lights (but it might have some fake coloured plastic instead to cover the holes)

:rolleyes

I don't think that's what it is. But I guess it could be.. @Jedifyfe did you experience this?
I order quite a few pairs of V2's and never had to pay duties. But then again they were shipped by post office.
DHL !!!! You have your answer : EVERYTIME I get something shipped from them, I get additionnal fees :/

I think without the light wouldn't be good as it would tarnish the mag & V3's quality and reputation as everyone will be called out on fake shoe that don't light up and u will start to see more people wearing them.
There would no longer be anything special about the shoes anymore
Most people including myself would lose interest in them as they would be to cheap and fake, I like the fact they are expensive and not everyone can afford them less people walking around with them less people knowing they are fake.

What thickness of vinyl does everyone use? Could I double up the back by layering two straps on top of each other?

No pics of the requested new pair last night. I was dissapointed. Hopefully I will see some tonight that I'm happy with and can ship.

I' am in for a pair without lights for a decent price. But please do not cover the nike logo in front with a plastic peace

If only it were real... :(

My team can make it happen its actually not hard at all u just need lights that run off an app that u can change the colors like the lights in my light up hats.
I just need the funds everything else is easy.

Maybe one day Nike will step there game up! :lol :facepalm

I doubt that even if they were selling these for 200 / 300$, that would make average people getting them.
Most people buy 60 to 130$ shoes max and they follow the fashion... I mean look at all people wearing Roshes or Addidas Stan smith or Fake Yezee :/
And even for this price (which is not really cheap) those who'd buy them won't wear them every day, but for special occasions (as I do with my V2 wich are my most expensive pair of shoe).

My point is that Nike made them the totally opposite of what they were suposed to be in the movie :
A simple shoe for eveyone (assueming that The future would look like in the movie)
And now that there is an alternative to the uggly HCs (which light up and is cheap... but not weel made and designed) it would be great if they would correct this "exclusive rich people shoes for elite sneaker addicts situation" and make things right, for the fans, for the others and for the money :D.

Trust me, even if this cheaper version of the shoe would be released, you won't see them so much in the street :
- It is a niche sneaker that not everyone think them look good
- Only geeks / fans of the movie would get them (it is not so much people considering the movie is 30 years old > meaning we are speaking about 30/40 year old people)
- the price
- It is a nostalgic thing
- not so much people wear high top shoes (sit in a cafe terrasse and count people passing by with high tops ;) )

About the quality, I don't see why it would get bad. There would be 2 different products. And anyway, this is a replica, not the 3500$ Real Deal ;)
The shape and the parts would be the same but just no lights in them - some fake light blue plastic would do the trick or GITD thing
(I aggree with @Dextork about not branding the strap like the V2 - or We should have the entire strap to be removeable withe the white anckle buckle)
I'm not affraid to be called out in the street wearing a "fake / replica" :
- Not so much people knows that these BTTF shoes lights up (just see the movie : they only show the strap lightingup for 1 scene)
- Not everyone is a sneakerhead so... even the HC gets attention and people thinking they're the Real Thing :/
- Anyway, if someone knows about V3 is a replica : so what ? Do they have them or the RD ?

(even my build ups are confusing people :D - and this is not a finished shoe here. I'm talking about the denim ones ;) )

Good post. To add to convo. So as a quasi lace expert I can add a few things. Nike made the laces about the only way they could. This is my view. Nike found the motor that works. Which isn't hard to do. Used it the mags for Michael j fox. Figured out they couldn't replicate straps and shoes and test all. And needed a more reliable stream to start. "Their excuse was the mags been done lets showcase the laces". Slow and torquey is how you have to do it in a conventional world. I'm trying to make the movie happen and I believe I have done it. These will be the shoes your talking about. Wear every once in a while. I have made a system that will close laces and strap at same speed and when strap is fully close the lights turn on auto. If you unstrap them and then intent the mechanism to full the lights will come on. And shoe will be unstrapped. And so if you don't want lights on then tighten almost to full. Etc etc. I made it so LED show charging in bubble also@RVLF

Also I was at Michaels and all their krylon is buy one get one 50% off. Then use one of their 50% off coupons for sale and you may get a good deal.

Did you do these on V3s?

And another thing. Their idea for laces on hyperadapt I thought of a long time ago. Their whole conversation in the wired video was the first time I heard anyone talk about the sAme things I dealt with and same lingo in my head. Soon it will be time for them to listen to me and US.

I need a pair to install to make sure everything works.

Just buy the v3s and take the lights out if u want, i wear mine everywhere and am not a geek or a movie prop guy i'm just ahead of my time with fashion and sick of the average 130 clone nike and jordan shoes ect that eveyrone and anyone can have and buy that's why i got into theses to begin with but now they are super popular and sold everywhere online & youtube and anyone can get them. so i'm more into custom shoes and custom mags like yours ant others nowjust my opinion and i doubt they will make them without the lights anyways when they can sell them for more with them.
