Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

cavx what meterials do use to make the soles? Big fan of yours :)

The product I use is a water clear, flexible polyurethane. It is UV stable and I simply add a small amount of clear blue to part B to further filter the red (700um end of the visible light spectrum) to make these look absolutely clear.

I messed with my settings to show your the color difference. View attachment 656999

I'm not looking that this image on a calibrated display at this time, but based on what I am seeing, I would suggest that the sole panel is the correct colour. The strap looks too blue.

Can anyone let me know how I can measure the frequency of the EL panel? If @davidjones888 could sell the panels then it would be awesome. I'm sure people would pay $25-$30 just for the EL.

I have a volt meter with hertz. If I can find my small inverters from when I had EL in my own shoes, I should be able to power them up and get a reading for you.

So tomorrow is the first day of school V3 wear test will be at its fullest. Ill be running around chasing little kids so we will see. Also there is a problem with Daivds newer batch of V3s. It seems that there is a defect of bunched up fabric near the LEDs. be on the lookout.

So you have a pic?

UGH!!! Same cut and past BS....

Yep, clear hes just here for the $$$$$ doesn't care about helping us with the actual shoes and probably doesn't even like us opening them up. I was hopeful he actually cared.

The thing is, I would think it would help his team if parts were available, probably less returns/exchanges. Although, seems as though he is charging a fee to reship working shoes anyways.

davidjones888 there wouldn't be any problem if your "team" would sell a basic version without electronics (i'm sure that wouldn't bother anyone in here to make teheir own modifications) AND the current shoe. (And you'll get more orders for a affordable shoes without electronics that won't fail and no returned shoes etc... :rolleyes )
cavx, i don't know, i buy my stuff directly in a fabric store at the corner of my street caus i like to touch and see the Materials ;)

All the bottom EL panels on my wearing pair are dead haha.

Well these V3s are confortable but mounted with crap electronics next time i won't rush them and wait for 6 months if they release a new version to see how faulty they are.

They should sale them for not more than 200 since they're not wearable.

GG for the troll chinese !

How old are they? How long did you get to wear them for? It seems Jedifye got real lucky with the first pair he bought.

I am going to do a little test, It seems the main issue right now is that bottom EL panel. It is probably put under the most stress. A flat 1mm thick carbon fiber or fiberglass panel that was the exact same shape as the EL then attached with some strong 3M double sided adhesive would take any flex out of the panel, carbon fiber is especially stiff...wonder if taking the stress off of the EL panel would stop it from going out.

Also, to anyone who's shoes wont charge...all you need to do is make a 1/2" cut on each side of the port about 3/4" deep and you should be able to pull the board out enough to swap the port. I took the whole buckle off on mine, but its overkill to replace just the port.

There is no way these shoes will improve, it's the opposite.
The first few that came out were the best ones, now that the demand is rising they are definitely going for quantity over quality.

But don't worry...

They are 1 month old, wore them 3 times for a total of 15 hours i would say, no jumping, no running, casual walking.

I had a very good laugh when i googled "Martha chinese" this is the fist picture that came out ! xD

LOL. Gives a new spin of the tern "Dragon Lady".

Bummer about the shoes. This is no different to what the V2s gave us, just now at twice the price. No doubt, we are getting a much better made and looking shoe but point being, the electronics are still crap.

So since I have another pair coming in to replace these, I figure I would make some changes to these to make them more accurate. I added more splatters to the midsole and I defogged the LED bubbles. All I need is for the from half of my left shoe's EL panel fixed and they would be perfect IMO

Could you post a picture of the LEDs lit up with the bubble defogged?

What type of paint and colour did you use?

I really wish they would sell them without electronics, and supply the glue to build them up yourself for a lot less money. That would be less hassle for them for returns, and tons better for us.

So Iv been wearing the shoes for around 3 hours and heres a few notes on my busy half day.
1. MY FEET HURT!!!! I am not sure if it is because my job is super busy non-stop on my feet, but the first hour or so was great but then I was in pain. I could have been walking funny but I don't remember.
2. My feet started to get hot. These shoes are great but there is little ventilation, and if you have sweaty feet get ready to feel the heat.
3.Toe Box creasing. LIke any shoe when you are super active and moving around the fabric on the toe box is going to get creases. Not a huge issue but I haven't seen it mentioned here yet.
3. LEDs and ELs. So far so good. This is the first wear test but everything is good so far. Im 100% sure they will go out but lets see how long it will take for me to kill them.
4. Bright Lights.. WIth the amount of sun in the building you can't see the ELs (We knew that) but when I walk in the classroom and kill the lights BOOM lol kids didn't care hahah LEDs on the other hand you can see me coming from a mile away.

Not sure if I can finish the day in them cause of my feet but we will see and ill try to kill them tomorrow if I don't today.
