I had a pair of 13s here once to mod. They were HUGE! Look all I can tell you is that if you wear 11 NIKE, you don't want a bigger V2.

As Marty says "I'll keep that in mind"
Does anyone on this forum sell the Air mags in a sz 11?
Or where could I purchase them from?
eBay seems to have like random sizes.

Hello everyone. I spoke with David about the EL issue and he says this is a problem on 2-3 pairs of each size. He claims it is not an issue with the electronics materials, but rather the way they were assembled by a certain factory worker(s). He says all correctly assembled pairs should be very durable. He has worn a pair for 15 days, put them through stomping stress tests, and has assured me that the ones that don't fail immediately will be fine.

Everyone who got a faulty pair is entitled to a new pair free of charge. Just contact him on Skype, verify that you are an owner of a faulty pair of Mags, and he will make the arrangements to ship a new pair.

I also spoke with him about getting the technical diagrams and/or details on the electronics in these things so those of you intent on modifying them to change the brightness of the EL and LEDs will have an easier time. So stay tuned for that.

Thanks for that, I Skype messaged David, he said to contact Martha & she will deal with it for me. I did just this & she has responded saying 'There's a 30 day money back so don't worry, but to 'clap' the back of the shoe first to make sure the lights don't come back on' - Believe me, I've done more than clap them...

I've responded & asked if I can have an exchange so just waiting for a response now.

So you're obviously quite close with David? Thanks for the extra info, I'm sure it will provide confidence to those wanting to buy but are sitting on the fence.

Won't happen. But i might be wrong...

Wow that video is impressive, it's good to know that they're really durable because I plan on wearing them a lot if I ever get a pair. I just wish they would fix the dim ELs. That's the only thing keeping me from buying a pair.

I'd love to know if they make you pay return shipping fee etc... As they did with me

If the power lace version goes belly up i think the only option we would have would be to get the pair of running shoes from Nike that have the technology and try to put them in the V3.

It is fairly normal for you to have to pay return shipping them for an exchange or repair. Sometimes you have to pay both ways.

It has taken 5 years to give us an accurate "elastic" version.

Lets just appreciate that we finally got a lets say, almost jedifyfe quality replica... I say almost because of those dim EL sheets in the sole...Brad you thinking on taking these apart mate!?
Sometimes i hate being in Australia only because of our Dollar being so weak against USD. Anyone know a cheaper way people in Australia could get them a bit cheaper?
Cavx your in Brisbane have you grabbed a pair yet?

No not yet, though I am keen to get 10s now after seeing that video of David jumping around in a pair.

Our dollar rises and falls all the time. Back when the V2 launched, our dollar was almost $1.10USD, so that listed $250USD was like 230AUD for us. Now the tide has turned and that $629USD is about $820.

Not this soon into ownership of a product though. I believe in the UK, if something develops a fault within a 6 month period of time from the purchase, it was deemed faulty from the get go & it's up to the supplier or manufacturer to cover all costs including shipping due to distance selling acts.

Small update for you guys on my faulty EL. David, Martha & Rebecca have been very helpful so far & if everything comes off that they have said they will honour, then I would have no concerns with ordering from them.

They have been very apologetic & are sourcing or building me another pair which is great news.

I shall keep you all informed of the situation as it goes on.

Dang, I have been away for too long. V3s look great although not liking the price. Bought my V2s last year and just recently bought a full EL kit from airair. Do you think the V3s might come down in price eventually?

I doubt it, I remember the V2 being really cheap at first, before they set a the $250 tag price. I remember people saying they were as low as $100 at the beginning, will need double confirmation though x)

I'll say one thing David is amazing with shipping. I'm in Illionis and the shoes are in Ohio right now. They told me they shipped them Sunday morning and DHL says I'll have them tomorrow.
