Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

I tried on my pair just to see if they fit and walked around my room a few times. No failures, but I won't be wearing these even to a convention. Strictly display.

Yeah me to i will try them on only to see if the fit good then put them on display.

I paid them with WU everything seems good so far but haven't received them yet shipped out about 2 days ago.

No failures, that's great! Sad to hear some pairs are coming in with faulty LEDs and EL strips.
Jedifyfe's comparison/review video has made me put some faith towards the shoe. I'll be getting a pair of size 11, which seems to be one of the sizes being produced more. Hopefully because of this, it will have less defects, hopefully.

Not good to see a failed EL first up in the morning.

So by the look of these, it seems the construction is the same as the old V1s. This means REALLY WELL BUILT! No slimming the toe here unless you intend to just use steam.

The toe is only a little bulbus, so no cutting is necessary. The steam method will work wonders and add accuracy to the shoe without any severe risks.

I'd be VERY surprised if steam did anything to slim the toe. It's a completely different material to the V2, much less sponginess & I've seen quite a few RDs with watermark stains on them when they have become wet or damp.

There's just doesn't seem to be room for any 'give' in these shoes, I could be wrong but they really are nothing like the V2.

Damn that's really unlucky, I hope. I think Dave or Rebecca will help you out, there customer service with me has been great so far

Hopefully, they've been pretty helpful so far but unless they can offer a discount that is substantial, I'll be sending them back.

Sorry guys i dont regularly get time to read up and get in the forums as much, caught up in life! Haha
V3 coming out of china, there was always going to be an initial first problem.
100% it will be lack of quality in the soldering. I think... :(But thats not to say you cant fix it!

Just to give you guys a heads up, David has been in contact & said that Martha will take care of it. He apologised & said that they will improve the quality. So far, very helpful. I shall see what Martha says & keep you all updated.

In all honesty, I expected there to be a problem with the lights at some point, just not within 3 minutes of trying them on. If this happens to a few & helps to revise & improve the build quality then something worthwhile has come from it. Maybe we will get that brighter EL too.

Hey guys huge BTTF fan, so are the overseas "replicas" really the only way to go with the air mags? The real ones are 10 grand and up so yes I will never be bale to afford them, nor want to wear them haha I mean I feel even the replicas are exp? V3 is 600, and V2 that I'm contemplating on getting the seller wants 290. How are the quality of V2's and size fitting?

The build quality is alright. The electronics are garage though. And no light up strap. As for size, they run about 1/2 size bigger than their marked size. I honestly would save up and get the V3s.

600 just seems alot for replicas and I hate using the word knock off, so replicas it is. For bttf fans is 200 and up the general price for air mag replicas?

I do feel better know they have good customer service and that they do offer a 30 day return policy on them, I was hoping to get a short wear out of mine, every few months or so.

I messaged Martha and got this response.

"hello , thank you for your feedback , it will make us to improve our shoes , we will try to make the shoes better in the future"

What size V2 are you after? Jedifyfe says he some unmodded 10s. I think he was asking like $190.

Well that is a good thing. I had a pair of US8 V2s that basically fell apart just sitting on a shelf. So hopefully these are going to last a while.

The future!
LOL! When? Today? Tomorrow? The day after tomorrow? They won't change a thing.

Hello everyone. I spoke with David about the EL issue and he says this is a problem on 2-3 pairs of each size. He claims it is not an issue with the electronics materials, but rather the way they were assembled by a certain factory worker(s). He says all correctly assembled pairs should be very durable. He has worn a pair for 15 days, put them through stomping stress tests, and has assured me that the ones that don't fail immediately will be fine.

Everyone who got a faulty pair is entitled to a new pair free of charge. Just contact him on Skype, verify that you are an owner of a faulty pair of Mags, and he will make the arrangements to ship a new pair.

I also spoke with him about getting the technical diagrams and/or details on the electronics in these things so those of you intent on modifying them to change the brightness of the EL and LEDs will have an easier time. So stay tuned for that.

Unmodded as in the way they come out of the box. In fact, I don't think he will ship in the yellow box.

The V2s run big, so if you wear US11 NIKE, the US10 in V2 MAG should be a nice snug fit.

My V2s are US9.5. I would normally wear a 10 NIKE. The V2s were loose fitting before I added a 2nd sock liner and did the tongue extension mod. Now they fit snug.

Damn, that was impressive and just raise my hopes that I will actually be able to wear a pair.
