Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

Had anyone good experiences with other sellers? Karen wants 125USD shipping to Europe (only option) and some other vendors offer the shoes not only cheaper, but also with free shipping or at least reasonable priced...

Says FREE shipping to the UK....Maybe its different to Germany...but I can't see why?

Hmmm... Unless that's just a ploy to nick Karins business? lol. I'd always go with Karin cos she usually gives you some discount if you ask nicely and also specify that you want even splatter paint with no marks on them. Sounds kinda obvious to us, but not to them.

Yea, I think so. She MAY fall soft and send you another pair, but it's not really her fault if they're arses. That's a battle you'd need to take up with her IF it happens. I think you'll be fine though. One thing I STRONGLY advise, don't get them delivered to a commercial address. They're far more likely to be checked as they'll see bigger £££ on those ;) I can't see why they bother though to be honest, it's just fans doing what they enjoy. If anything, we're walking advertisements for Nike and the BTTF trilogy.

Said about the even splatter paint with no marks on them.....

  • cn117975353(2014-10-07 14:50:58):

Those were her replies....oh well tomorrow I shall order and see what arrives :)

    Sure it will be ok

Yes, I tried Germany and the Netherlands, for both the only service is DHL for EUR 100,84 :-/ ... plus we have to pay import taxes also (!) for the shipping costs -.- So it is roundabout EUR 300 + 19% import VAT + 17% customs fee for non-leather shoes (if over EUR 150,-)

Hi guys new around her just ordered aliexpress mags ...

If you getting changes like that don'e what's stopping you getting them to do the Nike el and el lower sole ??

The factory thats making this is a proper shoe factory so I'm optimistic they can make a 1:1 copy of the uppers. The bottom will be the same as changing anything means having to open a brand new mould for the soles in each different size.

Good luck! Hope the samples are acceptable. I'd be in for a couple with accurate uppers and V2 soles if you can distribute to us RPF'ers! Did you ever see the story about how the RD's were made and there was a prototype which was mostly white in one of the images? That looked cool too. Saw that video on the new haloweencostumes ones, and I prefer my V2's. Don't think I'll be getting the haloweencostumes ones.

Just ordered a UK 7.5 from Karin, did you guys write in a comment/order notes the size? Plus you have to select grey or white, i selected grey, even though they are both?

Hope these reach me safely in the UK!!

Agree these look awesome compared to the 'licensed' knock-offs.

I want to, nervous about cutting them up to be honest.
You don't have to 'cut them up' anymore.

The steam method toe slim is perfect for when you don't want to cut up your shoes. Size pending, you may get a different result (these are US8).

What's a good email address for Karen? Or how do you guys reach her?
I am sure I posted her email about a page back.

Most members used an iron spraying steam through it, with a sock stuffed in the toe so the shoe didn't lose 100% of the shape - I didn't use an iron because it spits rust (haha really should get a new one) - I cleaned mine from wearing them out and water was on the toe, so I put them in front of a box fan heater, which softened the toe box and I could carefully push it down. But keep an eye on it - don't use heat to dry things for too long, I wrecked a pair of my Reebok Pumps once doing that, the glue all came apart :(

Most of the discussion about how to do this was in the other V2 Mod thread. HERE is the link to the first post about this.

Steam iron, tea towel and a sock shoved into the toe box. DO NOT apply the iron directly to the fabric or it WILL burn!

The steam heats and softens the rubberized material in the toe box and allows it to take on the new shape. Size pending, you may get a smooth bullet look (as I did on my US8 display pair) or it might develop wrinkles on the larger sizes if too much heat is applied too quickly. I didn't like the smooth look on my US9.5s, so redid them and pushed the toe box down to make it flat. As a result, it did wrinkle. I don't mind the wrinkled look as it is more close to the movie shoe with the 'sock type" toe.

I put a rolled up sock in the shoe and put a piece of cotton over the toe and tried shooting it with steam but it didnt seem to do much so I put the iron on cotton setting and ran the iron over the toebox a couple of times to soften it up Then pushed it down. I thank all of you who contributed with a comment, they very much so helped to give me a better understanding on the way this works. I will give it a shot today, again thank you, sorry I couldnt come up with the original posts on this topic.

Thanks cavx, this might be the option for me :) Although if I want to go the full mod, there will still be some dismantling for the EL work

Removing or at least opening the sides of the soles is a bit of work, but they come away OK with a heat gun. I've done 2 full removals now and it does time so you don't tear the rubber.

Once the soles are opened up, you can access the cavities to run new wires. I gently worked a plastic chop stick from the sewn charge port hole around to the heel cup. if you don't want to remove the whole sole, you can access the battery compartment from the inner sole. Because I did remove the sole, I was able to access this part from underneath. I was then able to get the wires from the charge port hole to the sole without compromising the inner layer of cloth.
