Like many, I have watched that sequence so many times, yet I never really noticed the difference between the Hero and FX shoe. In all honesty, I thought the same shoe was used for the whole scene and kind of wondered why they pushed the shoe down like that (on the left).
As it turns out, this was to give the impression that the laces are bulged and loose where they are not if the shoe was to sit in its proper shape because they are elastic.
The shoe on the right is the FX shoe (notice the different spat on the sole) and had longer laces which extended down through the soles and through a slot in the false floor stage. A stage hand than pulls the straps and we all believe the shoes "power laced".

I have enough trouble keeping up with the dozen mag threads we already have :behave
After a long customs delay..... Nearly 4 weeks I have my pair in my grubby mits...... My verdict......... Suprised, solidly built, LEDs working, a lot happier displaying these than my others. Nothing against the poons but was only a matter or time before a better rep appeared. I compared the to the poons and ill give mark a massive pat on the back for what he achieved. Will post my comparison pics shortly.
The downside....... That weak point being the USB. Mods to be done.........yep el and led area to improve but not a big undertaking
Karin writes birthday gift on the box and there is no documentation at all inside.... But u may get unlucky like I did and got a 17 pounds surcharge, its all hit and miss you ay get away with it you may not......guess I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time in the parcel area

That's a very long wait.
Why did it take so long? What do you think the chances of it being stopped and inspected at customs is?
Don't they get like thousands of parcels coming through like everyday?
I was told by parcelforce it was held to be inspected, no further info was disclosed, maybe I was one of the random inspection that was done, they were in the parcel force hub on the 28th December. The parcel did not move until the 19th jan, and it only moved after I pushed parcel force to find out what was going on, after 3 phone calls, one email the package suddenly progressed. All I know is I was told it was being investigated. They were ordered on 23 dec, posted 25
The chances of inspection..... No idea, but yes there are hundreds of thousand on a daily basis flooding in

I hope no-one minds me posting this on the v2 thread, but OH DEAR LORD, I have not the words to describe the feeling taking these out of the box...
I don't mind as long as you put up measurements. What size are they? Throw up some pics of them next to a ruler...preferably in inches

Jedifyfe, I will definitely take some measurements for you, I need to get hold of a UK to US adaptor to charge them, as they are completely flat at the moment. They're a US 7 / UK 6, completely true to size, proportions are beautiful, really balanced.
