Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

@cavx In the US it is found in our chain hardware stores in the paint section. It is billed as an outdoor furniture fabric protector. Another option you might have would be something like amazon.jp

I found the pressure pack and spray bottle versions at Bunnings and the Rustolium at Autobarn.

Those really do look good. Is the belief that the color alone will filter the UV wavelength?

The blue dye will penetrate a few microns in. It doesn't go all the way to the centre. So it can't can't actually protect anything. It is more of a good looking, quick fix If the rubber is not UV stable and goes yellow, then these eventually will go greenish.

That is the 2-part system. I cannot vouch for how it will affect material, stain, discolor, etc. since I used the 1-part system I posted a picture of.

Test it for sure.
I ended up taking it back because after reading the fine print where it stated not for clothes. Granted the MAGs are shoes, but they are still cloth.

Attn Aussie's, I found a product today at A-Mart All Sports that seems safe. I've already sprayed my V2s and V3s and there was no colour change. The guy that sold it to me said that he used it to help keep the seams on his jacket (he rides a motor bike) dry in the rain. $14.95. It does state to spray and give at least 24 hours before exposing to water. So all I hope for is no stains when I do finally wear these.

Was working on these pairs for someone. He has used Seaglow and Rit Dye in them. They are a perfect match for the 2016's. I'll be doing this to my pairs but much much less blue.

Cool. Let us know what the product's name is if it's any use. The only one I know was the footlocker one I tried many years ago and it was useless for cloth. Maybe that's changed now, but still put me off their accessories. Still buy sneakers there from time to time though.

This is the stuff

I don't think its gonna work like the Rustolium pics, but considering my V2s are 3 year old and the treatment has not had the required 24 hours, water did bead on the surface and run off. Better than nothing.

+1 - this might have the original problem of leaving a milky white surface color. Proceed with caution.

It actually said that on the pack. Got a full refund and bought the other stuff. Short of ordering online, I just don''t know where else to buy the Rustoleum product.

That is odd. It is billed as a fabric protector here. There is a youtube video of some guys pouring all kinds of foods on shirts and pants they have treated. I applied it to a fishing pouch made from cordura without any ill effects. It was black colored pouch too.

It might have more to do with cloths are expected to be washed after use and the neverwet would come off in the wash.

As soon as I read where it said "not for clothes", I made the decision to return it. Maybe your right on that. We won't wash these shoes like we would, say a jacket.

Hey guys I've been thinking about getting a pair of these since they were released. I was wondering if anyone can post a link to the best and cheapest place to buy these. Is David still selling them? Also did any of the factories start upgrading the electronics in these to make them more reliable. What are some problems that I might run across with these and are there ways to fix them if the el goes out. Will I have to change the el or is it more of an inverted related problem? Sorry for the long post in just trying to get as much info out of this before I jump into another project

Awesome video @Jedifyfe I'm hoping that we can find somewhere to get those extra EL panels again or come up with a LED solution that might be more durable and brighter

Hi there, just want to know where do you put the "ssneakerahead-dis" code on the website ?
I might order something (not Mags) from them and want to see if this code works with all the product...

Thanks (is it the correct discount code ?)
