Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

I'm guessing that USB thing isn't supplying the right charge, as when my V3s are run flat, then plugged in, they immediately turn on. Won't take long to get my extra charger to you.

Ok right shoe (which was not working either this morning) is now plugged in and charging. I connected power at 2:45PM my time. I know some of you guys charge these for hours. How long does it take to even give enough power to get the lights up and running whilst connected? I just wanna know if the battery went flat or is dead.

I don't like the design of the charge port at all. I found the best way to get the plug in was to bend the collar slightly forward. Sure it is discrete, but that is so fragile.

Damn, sorry to hear. When mine are drained I can plug em into the charger and immediately turn on the lights.

So I have a 2nd wall charger that takes USB at 5V/2amp. Even though I have used the USB outlet to charge my phone, maybe it is not outputting enough power. Like when the V2s would suddenly die, they still worked (mostly) when you were connected to the wall. Nothing and it was more than a little disappointing.

So i got two qc pictures.
First has clear blueish soles but misplacement nike swoosh and one strap does not seem centered.
Second all is well but soles are yellowish.
Any suggestions?
Does anyone know if the yellowish sole version comes with the fixed el panels? As ive heard the newer ones have better el's, and i assume the clear ones are the new ones...

Where do I even buy these products in Australia. I've looked at the Crep Products website and it mentions "coming to Australia" but no mention of what retailers will stock it.

FYI - I had Crep for some shoes, and it works with little complaints. Buuuuuuutttttt, I bought some rustoleum for a fishing trip....low and behold, both smell remarkably the same. I will go out on a limb and suggest they are the same product. One is a repackage at a higher price.

Discussing fabric protectors with my wife this morning, and she reminded me we have stuff called Scotch Guard in Australia. When you buy a new car here, they urge you to get "Ming treatment" to protect the car interior and exterior. I spilled a full can of coke onto the passenger seat of my car (that had the Ming done) and it pooled but did not soak in to the cloth. I used a rag and it just wiped up.

I would not be surprised @Mzfly if many of the products are the same, just re-branded and re-priced.

What ever I find, I will test on my V2s first :p

Ming? As in Ming the Merciless?! Lol I think you meant mint but that was the first that came to mind
(as my GF complains, all my culture is pop culture)

Nice. Scotch Guard as a 3M product offering has been around for years. It is not a bad water proofing agent. We have used it for years as a pretreatment for dry flies in trout fishing. Though, the rustoleum product is in a class of its own. I don't consider them comparables, if that helps your categorizing their usefulness.

I bought it with every new car I have bought. I always thought it ended in a G, but it might have been a T. Ming the Merciless is what I thought of too when they the told me the price ;)

Jedifyfe was it you that documented removing the batteries from the V3s by cutting open the sole from the inside of the shoe?

@Jedyfife, did you also made a video of the method to open the midsoles to replace the EL panels ?

I will be making a video soon.

That will be awesome.

Didn't you post photos to? Something about having to cut the fabric in the sole?

Where the battery in the V2 was just slightly forward of the heel , these are more forward, like under the arch?

Yes. If you list up the unsole, you will see the white sewn on undersole. Cut around the edges with a very sharp Xacto knife. Be careful not to plunge the knife too deep as the wires are just under this part. You can then lift up this part to reveal the wires and black plastic cover to the battery, near the center of the shoe. Under that black plastic cover is the Li Ion battery.
