Given how much work you've done on your V2's, I'm surprised. I accidentally got zapped once while doing my mods (testing loose EL pieces, etc) and yeah, it's astounding how much it hurts for something only plugged into a little 9v battery.
For comparison, I've also been zapped for a split second from household 120v, and it was definitely stronger, but the little EL inverter current it still something you won't forget.
