Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

$720 dollars actually. Only $120 more than david's starting price for the V3 (which most of you have reached to get the replacement pair).

Only in America as they say. Nike sure does know how to rip people off!

Don't I know it. As a wide-foot person, if I want some of Nike's more premium shoes I would have to pay extra for NikeID custom to get it in wide. And that usually means just their running shoes. No signature shoes at all, and especially not Jordans.

would you be able to post up the pics, i would like to see them. also how long has it been since you ordered the shoes to actually receiving the pictures?

OK here they are.

Nice one Cavx! Finally took the bait ey! You gonna try stick that sturdy insole in, or you intend to rip out the electronics immediately?

Finally got my tax back :p Really not sure. I need new MAGs but this pair looks pretty decent, so should really be a display pair. I will end up wearing them no doubt.

I'm still waiting on my replacement pair's qc pics. It's been 6 days. @cavx how are the soles? Same, yellower, or clearer?

Ordered and paid Friday the 11th. QCs were in my inbox last night (14th). When I ordered these, I simply asked for "clean shoes, no glue marks and working lights". I also did ask about the box, but they didn't seem to understand what I was talking about, so here is hoping I get the glossy and plate and no rip on the flap. Sometimes you just need to let go and let the chips fall where they may.

Hmm, lets look at that. $720 = 2 pair of awesome vs 1 pair of grandpa shoes with a built in whiny thing. I can see where my money is better spent.

unfortunately germany is not on sneakerahead.ru shipment list..no raffle for EU people and no v3 for germany..:cry

I'm new here..and not a hypebeast..

Won't really be able to answer that until the shoes arrive. From the images these look good and why I proceeded with the order.

The MP MAG had some really good features and some no so good parts, but it gave us a chance to own a replica of our grail shoe, so regardless, I will always have a soft spot for them and be grateful to Mark Poon for making those happen.

The V1 could and should have been awesome, but they cut too many corners and made it a cheap, crappy version of the MP MAG that simply was not tall enough.

The V2 was 200x better than the V1, but it too had things so wrong with it. Why they didn't revise it until now beyond me and with the V3 out now, would you really want to buy a V2.1 or V2R? I see no point.

The V3 is about as close to perfection we have seen or likely to see. Sure, I made a list of at least 10 things I spotted that were not quite right, but for everyone else, these are as close to the real shoe we will ever get. In fact, the V3 looks better than the 2016 release of the real NIKE MAG (power laced).

Australia didn't get the lottery either, so I didn't even bother buying a ticket this time round. Sure I could have just made a donation I guess.

I've been buying out of China since 2006, and this experience is quite positive given the good communication with David and his team.

I always will have much respect for Marc Poon and his work for sure..still a great shoe..but Davids v3 blew my mind..

I agree with you cavx that they kinda look better..the overall shape looks a little more well balanced I think..but thats always a matter of size too..need to get a pair to germany..somehow..

For me, the 1989 original movie shoe is the grail of MAGs. The 2011 shoe was a replica of that shoe with some 'creative licensing" for some parts that they either couldn't figure out or decided needed an upgrade.

The 2016 PL MAG went back to a boot toe which is a massive WTF.

These V3s are the best of both of the original 1989 and 2011 shoes.

That's the plan! I have embedded leds in plastic before and they are incredibly strong. I wont be worried about the LEDS going out with this method. The wiring coming out of the domes getting worn through, I am still thinking about. Embedding the LEDS into the material makes it a lot easier to diffuse you can just add white pigment. I put the LEDS on an acrylic sheet and lay that on top of the mold and it will allow me to adjust the depth too and positions. It gets a really even light (with enough LEDS) its brighter then the EL too.

I missed some discutions here.
Are you going to make a fake El panel out of leds ?
You should look at the PS4 controller : As soon as I saw it, I thought that leds where the best / cheap / solid solution to make the soles lights. Just need the right colour and a diffuser thick enough

Yes, I am wanting reliable electronics and I think that will be the most durable solution. Yep the PS4 controller is a very good example of how well an LED can be diffused. They use just one small SMD led to light up the whole light bar. I am still playing with my molds and setting the LEDS right, but it does seem they need to be around 1/4" away from the front of the dome to actually diffuse fully with no hot spots. I'll definitely have to cut a notch out in the mid-sole to fit them in though.

Before/after shots of the sticker that came with the box (I already started peeling it lol) vs sticker from Vormz. Very nice work!

Also had a photoshoot the other day and wore the mags since they go well with my 3M Bomber jacket I'm promoting. I shot these pics with my iPhone 7plus' portrait mode. Thought I'd share

I thought the logo on the box was printed and why it was a "one size for all".

Your image look good. I really like the first one where you can really see the MAG "lean".

Yeah. These 2016 shoes are pretty much only for display so if the boot toe has the excuse of wearability then that's BS.

You ain't wrong. I thought that when I first got my PS4, it looks like EL!

Vormz the box slightly bubbled where the last sticker was so it didn't leave a nice flat finish. So the new sticker looks like it has air bubbles under it as well

In 2014 nike brought back the 1991 nike air command force in a retro version..David Robinson wore them on court and Woody Harrelson wore them in "white men cant jump"..In my opinion it was the same issue..they ruined the whole silhouette because of a totally different toe box..the retro looks now more contemporary and more fashionably, but not like the OGs..and i think this is the key..fashion and marketing..and the senior innovator tiffany beers need to talk to a lot of these marketing guys in their "innovation kitchen". they need to sell tinkers 27 year old design in a new dress to create the hype to push the brand and gain a big aftermarket..this is more important to nike than the real OG silhouette and a bunch of people who want it to be done correctly..the lost kanye and his stupid yeezys to adidas..nike needs the MAG more than ever..by changing the toe box you will get a new design language..

Need your help, I'm looking to ordre from sneakerahead . Considering this will set me back 300$ US, want to make sure you've had a good experience with them and that the shoes are the actual V3 everyone folks are talking about. Do these come with an replica box also? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
