Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

You know, while the idea that David is just a reseller would explain allot, there's one thing that bugs me. If he is getting the shoes from a factory, and not making them himself, why would he have bought a pair of RD's? https://m.reddit.com/r/Repsneakers/...nike_air_mag_or_new_at_good/?ref=search_posts

Probably he bought them to then collaborate with the factory so that both could profit. Or either he was the factory's spokesman who only looked for a RD pair to start up the process.

I'm really not interested in the story of David :)
But what I do like to know is when these shoes will finally be available without lights [emoji106]

yes, surely it would be easy enough to do the same construction without any electronics, just like a regular sneaker. Same assembly process, just put some coloured plastic in the side piece and ankle bubble. Much easier than all the work they surely have to put in to have the light up version work properly.

I still think these are coming form the one factory and why even David is unable to give a for sure "yes" as to getting these shoes without lights.

Yeah. The fact that he lowered the price from $600 to $500 when another seller showed up is a pretty good indicator that he's just a reseller himself.

Do any of you guys remember how long it was after the V2 came out before there were lots of sellers?

@Kevzie
Yep, it would take a leap of faith from someone. But David was also unknown at one time.

Definitely a bit sketchy, unless someone with a reputable background can confirm. I think David is still our best bet, being the most trustworthy seller we all know at the moment

I don't really see what is sketchy about it, just unknown. I did some poking around and there are lots of youtube videos of people unboxing their shoes.

Got an email notification of someone selling MAGs on eBay. Blurred images and only photos of the shoes, yet description says "brand new in box".
This is probably the only sure way to tell if these shoes are real or not.

Note the fine seam line that runs around the base of the midsole. V3s don't seem to have this.

Their sizes only go to US 12, whereas David has US 13. I cannot imagine there are two independent places producing V3's where one only goes up to size 12.

I don't see how not listing a size means anything at all.

David didn't have some sizes available for a long time. And there are other very mundane reasons 13 might not be listed. Such as making that web page before 13s were available and not updating it.

When nike Hyperadapts are released. Would anyone take the "engine" out and put it in the V3's?

You do realise this is not just a plug and play? You would have to make serious modifications to the shoes to get the motor to fit, much less work in the MAGs.

So $500 for MAGs and probably another $500 for EARL shoes just to cut them both open. Yes NIKE did install one of their motors in a MAG, but they are also a shoe company with a proper R&D team, not DIYers.

I guess you are right with it being impractical. But with mags already having a space for the battery and already having straps it might be easier than doing it on other shoes. People might be more willing to try it on the v2's with them being cheaper and more people familiar with taking them apart.
