For now they're more display only the little wire between EL panels is fragile as hell and will break.

Even with the video I saw with somebody jump and smash them hard on the ground? I thought they were solid...

I saw the same video and think the shoes are well build. As for failing electrics, I think it really depends on who is wearing them. We all move differently, so will place different stress points on the shoes. It might just come down to luck that you don't break a wire based on how you move and where the wires actually run.

You're probably right.
I'll be careful wearing them and walk like a cat!

Also, have faith that in time we, as a community, will learn to fix every part of these shoes. :lol

So I got my QC pictures overnight and alright signed off on them. So hopefully I'll be getting them soon. So far I have nothing but positive things to say about the entire operation and transaction. Super smooth!

It is just a matter of when you walk and the shoes bend, unfortunetly i'm not the only to have the same issue with the EL panel so be VERY VERY VERY carefull guys, plus removing the sole is more than a pain in the "BEEP" i did reach the wire that was broken but i didn't manage to make it work again so i did glue back the sole to the shoe.

If you try to remove the sole NEVER heat the sole, it is much much more fragile that the V2s and they mark very easyly.

Hmmm This makes the thought of 2 pairs - one for wearing and one for display that more of a good idea!

Does anyone know if the shoe battery's hold there charge when not in use? Only asking as just tried one of mine and was flat and had a slight moment of panic but luckily when plugged in it came back on!! Then it turned off after 30 seconds with power attached,. I will leave longer and hope it was just drained.

Yes my original V2s lasted a long time.
Could have just been luck, however I did use hot melt glue to anchor the switch and plug under the buckle to stop the wires moving, which had the bonus effect of letting me turn them on by pressing the outside of the buckle. Did the same with the latest pair and the idea still works.

Capt. off-topic here...(LOL) Anyone have a clue what this cylinder part is on the Mag display box that was on eBay?
