Hell yeah! Im guessing the knock offs are chunkier all over! Not as much spotting! Nike logo on strap does not light up! That's all I can tell from just pictures as I have not seen a 2011 pair.

I'm Alan, i'm from italy and i'm new to the forum tho i've been reading and following it for months now looking mainly fo back to the future related stuff.
First off i'd like to thank everyone of you for the amazing job you do with your research and commitment to this "hobby" i've learned a crazy amount of stuff thanks to you.
So i just got my MAGS knock offs from Karin Chen as well and i wanted to share my experience...
My box got stuck at customs for like 3 or 4 days....karin didn't write anything on the box and no document was included with the package....
so the people at customs sent me a form to fill in with the value of the goods and such in order to establish the amount of duties i had to pay.
250$ is quite a lot for italian customs...so what i did was:
i asked Karin Chen for a "fake proforma invoice of 100$"...she asgreed very kindly and sent me the invoice which i sent it to the guys at customs....so i only had to pay 21 euros for it when it came at my door....(which is italy's normal "iva" fee, 21% of total).

Here's a before and after so far, chunky or not they are as close as you can get for $250 at the moment without making a pair.

Ah man.
think I speak for everyone when I say I feel for ya.Hopefully , like you said, it will be to pay duty and not to be destroyed.

i dont mind being stung on duty - its one of those things - many times i have escaped it in the past even on the matty board i didnt get a charge, same with ghost trap and 2 other items from china - i can handle having to pay now and then

Got my pair today. Ordered/paid the 11th, shipped the 12th, received the 16th (in France, despite bad weather conditions). Shoes spent a total of 1h05min at customs. No custom charges.
As for the pair, electronics work perfectly fine and everything is in tip top shape (splatter job isn't perfect but pretty decent nonetheless).
I might consider having them modded down the road (mainly to reduce the size of the toe area and get a strap that actually lights up, el on the soles could be great too) but I seriously couldn't be happier with them the way they are out of the box, considering their price.

Do you have a link for it? I can't find it on their website.
If they sell the Mags for $99 a pair - with or without lighted logos - I'd probably buy three pair. I would think they would fly off the shelves at that price. My problem is I want these shoes to wear and at $250 I'd have trouble wearing them - I'd want to just put them on display, and that's not much fun.
They told me in an e-mail.
I have to add that I was one of the persons who pre-ordered and cancelled my pre-order.
When I asked them if I can get the 2nd batch for $99 they promised me I will get them for that price.
