I may be wrong but i'm pretty sure Cloneprops said he'd have super small runs on his kits. I'm talking six per kit.

I asked him about putting me on the list for all three kits and he said maybe it was ok but he's on vacation right now so no updates on that waiting list yet.

I heard his asking price is now in the four figures too. Is that correct?

Speaking of the foam buckle, I must have lucked out because mine is damn near impossible to break. I've worn a pair in Disneyland ALL DAY and yanked on those straps to tighten them with no tearing.

Maybe some runs had a slightly more durable foam?

Maybe. One snapped on the first go and the other seemed fine. I added the PVC to both just inn case.

And what do you get for that? I heard his Ankle Buckles (which are very nice and solid BTW) are about $80 each.

I'd like to share these images of today's efforts. Again 3mm white ABS with hair cell exposed.

These hugged the buck way better and as a result have more meat around the top and base.

Compared to yesterdays parts.

Check this out. Because I am using 3mm material, you get a much nicer feeling part compared to the thinner <2mm material I was using. The part on the left is made from the same Buck, but look how thin the wall is after the pull. The part on the right is solid at still about 2mm after the pull.

Originally I was going to slush cast a polyester resin inside the thinner parts, but decided against that due to tears in thinner material whist doing the Vac Form and additional cost and time to do the slush cast.

I am using 3mm for the heel cups as well and I still got tears yesterday.

Thanks The texture is called Hair Cell and is optional on ABS. The flip side is gloss which now that I think I have the heating/forming process worked out, will do a pair of soon.

Will do.

Though I just started adding the ribs except they're actually sheaths. What i'll do is feed the laces into those so I can have them displayed both open and power laced.

Real pain in the ass though.

It's the scariest of all the mods. Even the toe correction was less sphincter-clenching than seeing your beloved Mark Poons with the laces cut off and this giant gash down the front of the shoe.

Been experimenting and I think I can still have it set up so the laces can be displayed either open OR laced up but still be wearable. I'm considering hiding a length of elastic underneath the tongue.

Because they are intended to be magnetic in the fictional universe of BTTF 2. We never see it used but it was a big part of the original script.

Cut out the laces and the area just around. Going for the slightly wider laces seen on screen. Those mock up straps are just sitting thete for now.
