Hi. I'm new to props and replicas. Truth is I have lusted over a Blade Runner PKD metal blaster for years. Last week...I finally pulled the trigger and found a SidKit.

I'm pretty well acquainted with firearms and a bit of a sci-fi cyberpunk geek. The Deckard blaster just kept calling to me so now I finally get a shot at making one my own. I've seen some beautiful examples and mods on here already.

Hopefully some of you will be kind enough to share your wisdom on lessons learned as I start my build soon.

Thank you.

R

Hi all! I am new to the world of replica props. Ive done a number of art/craft projects that verge on prop making. The items I am most proud of are a set of hand crafted tarot cards. I have a very heavy focus on paper projects. I am currently pulling together file for my own Grail Diary.

Hi. I am a longtime lurker but I am beginning my journey in casting and electroplating so I should have some neat things to show off soon. I'm mostly working on historical artifacts and treasure props, using resin printing.

Hi everyone. I like to mill and turn things out of metal, primarily. Done a few things for Jango Fett and Din Djarin. I'm a friend of @bigkidbiggertoys here. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Blade Runner are top of the list for films.

Hi!

I'm a crafter looking at putting those skills to use in cosplay in the future. I've started a 3D printing journey to go along with my woodworking, jewelry work, bookbinding, fiber arts, and all the other random things.

I'm here to learn, but if I have things to contribute, I will!

Hiya everybody!

I’m a pretty avid scale modeler, primarily mecha/gunpla with a more military/real-world used aesthetic (lots of dings, dents, dirt, mud, and rusty chipped paint). I also do a great deal of modding, kitbashing, and scratchbuilding in my models.

Being a scifi movie nerd as well, I thought maybe I’d try my hand at some prop making and, since this forum seems to be THE place for prop replicators, I just had to join.

Looking forward to getting some good advice and input in my projects!

Hi all! I'm a MSTie, a Rocketeer finhead, a vintage Star Wars spaceship fan and a Retro Sci-Fi enthusiast who grew up on classic star wars figures.

I finally made an account after lurking for nearly two dozen years, lol!

My Current Modeling Projects:
Action Figure (3.75") Scale MST3K Satellite of Love & Set Playsets (all eras!)
Action Figure (Mego) Scale The Black Hole Cygnus Playset
Action Figure (3.75") Rocketeer Bulldog Cafe

Hi-Keeba!

hi my name is jefrey and I also like the props they make on this forum they make amazing props and I like collecting movie necklaces also from different films!

Hi folks! I'm a man of varied hobbies. Many years ago, I made a replica book of The Nine Gates of the Kingdom of Shadows. That was the extent of my prop making until now. Now I'm putting together an Indiana Jones costume and I've been thrifting for the components. So far I've acquired a shirt, trousers, boots, belt, and jacket. I've ordered a whip from Etsy (I used to make nylon whips myself but I want something in kangaroo hide). Now I just need to find a hat and satchel. I don't know if I'm going to go with an inexpensive generic brown wool fedora from eBay or pay quite a bit more for a real fur fedora.

Hi! I'm Telmo and I have my own art studio Curious Goblin.
I'm mostly a maker, more than a collector. I'm always looking to learn the most that a can from everyone. I mainly make art pieces, and sometimes I also build props for corporate clients, but I don't separate them in terms of making techniques and apply everything that a can think of.

Hello, just thought I’d give myself an intro. I’m a technician in the dental field by day, but by night (and weekends) I make all sort of stuff from jewellery to vehicles and everything in between.
I came here trying to sniff out some plans for a Jurassic park cryo can and immediately made an account because this place feels like a good home.
I don’t own many of my builds because I usually give them away as gifts but here are a few that I still have.

Hello!
I'm really excited to be here, to learn, share (and hopefully inspire the community!)
I love the endlessly fascinating world of paper props.

The only professional job I can claim in this area is a "Villain's Lair"--which I designed for Etsy's Brooklyn HQ in 2010.

Blueprints for a Doomsday Device, Phony Receipts and Packaging Labels.

Sweet! Complete with postcard?

He folks. It's been a while since registered, but this will be first post. From Malaysia here, and mostly into lightsabers. Had succesfully did a run on Boone Kestis with TXQ sabers before and hopefully can do more run in future. I hope I will fit well in the community.a

Nonetheless, I'm planning for another run for TFU 1 Starkiller hilt with open hatch panels.
