Hi Everyone,
I'm mostly a saber enthusiast/builder but I love props of all kinds. I've been a lurker for a while and the information on here has been invaluable. Hopefully, I can give back a little since you guys have shown me so much. Thanks for having me!

Hello everyone! I heard about this forum from a YouTube video. I am not a builder or a collector, but I'd like to be. Lol!
I am actually a steel worker/ millwright. But I've many years experience as a welder/fabricator. Ive never made any kind of prop. I am however in the process of getting a stormtrooper kit and assembling it.
I am absolutely amazed at the props I've seen created here. You all are true artists and craftsman! While I may not ever achieve the level of craftsmanship I've seen here, im happy to see all the extraordinary workmanship here. For me it's like visiting a art museum everytime I log on here.
My wish is to someday be able to have something good enough to show here beside your beautiful work.
Thank you for having me!

Hi guys!

I've been active on here a little bit, but I've never formally introduced myself. I'm James and I'm a big fan of the Star Wars franchise, but I'm now seeing that the RPF has a lot to offer in the form of other franchises, so I'm excited to be here! I look forward to speaking with you guys and seeing how this community works!

HI everyone.

After months of hearing about this site from Tested, I knew I had to give it a try. I am a beginning hobbiest and am very excited to learn so much more.

Hi my name is Jeffrey, I am interested in learning about prop building mostly hard edge stuff. I found out about this forum from one of Adam Savage's videos. I am a huge science fiction fan.

Hello Everyone
My name is Brendan and I am an enthusiast of many popular sci-fi and fantasy franchises Including but not limited to:
Star Wars
Doctor Who
Star Trek
Harry Potter
Marvel
DC
etc.
I'm a bit of an armature at prop making and most of it is just for Halloween costumes. The one I'm most proud of is my Mark I inspired Arc reactor which I made with a few things lying around the house and some LEDs:

I'm looking forward to being a member of this community and also looking forward to finding new ways to pour money into the things I love.

Greetings

I am a huge Trekkie from way back. It is my love of Star Trek that has recently gotten me back into building models. It has been many years (too many to count). Suffice it to say that my eyes aren't as good as they used to be and my hands aren't as steady either, but I'm having fun.

I have recently completed a Viper MK-VII (from Battlestar Galactica) and an Enterprise-E. I'm currently working on a 1-350 Klingon Bird of Prey which has proved to be quite challenging - I'm also attempting to outfit it with lights. I've never added lights to a model before, so I have a lot to learn. I am learning a lot, but I'm open to suggestions and ideas.

Once I complete the BoP, I will begin working on my 22-inch Enterprise-A that I am also going to add lights to. This will serve as a sort of practice run for the 1-350 PL Enterprise-Refit/A sitting on the shelf in its box. Right now, I'm a long way off from even thinking about starting on the 1-350 kit.

I can be found, from time to time, on BSGO, and I'm also a War Between the States (WBTS) reenactor (Artillery).

I'm interested in hearing from, and reading posts by, others with similar interests.

Hey Ladies and Gents. I'm Stephen, or call me by my many user names. I joined a while back but haven't posted until now. I've been busy with starting builds.

I personally like paper crafting and using wood, sometimes adding 3d prints where needed for accuracy.

I go to conventions in Florida usually as Zero from Code Geass but I'm looking to hang that up.

I'll post some of my work shortly. But as I said I work more than I talk about it.

Hi everyone! My name is Mandie. I joined this group because I plan to decorate my Christmas tree in a Harry Potter theme. I am looking forward to discovering what others have to share. I also hope to be inspired to come up with my own Harry Potter projects.

Hi all, my name is David. I am 47 and a computer scientist, and the Tron story is a big part of my world view. I cosplayed for the first time at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con along with my daughter. I created a Kevin Flynn prop costume. I'm at it again for 2017, and wanted to get my story out for other Tron fans to see and use. I stumbled onto TheRPF.com when researching Tron prop projects, so I figured I'd better sign up. Here's a link to my Tron projects: http://www.flemingcomputer.com/for-fun

Oh, Hi All!

Been here a couple of time since I registered. But I think it is more than common courtesy to introduce myself.
My real name is Lars, 30 years old and from the Netherlands. I've gotten here because of the social media references and through friends who advised me to come and take a look.
I've started doing cosplay a while ago. (My first cosplay was Indiana Jones)
Now I wanted to go more into doing armour and such. I already picked up some really helpful stuff in the short time.
So hopefully I can share my creations with you guys :)

Hey everyone. I'm Dave. I build mostly furniture and sea kayaks. Being a builder of things and a sci-fi lover, prop-making just seems a naural step. I've worked as a set dresser on movies but THIS is more up my alley. Been going to DragonCon with my daughters for 4 years now and our builds are getting more and more ambitious. I stumbled upon this forum looking for a Phasma lid and now want to make everything I see here. Really looking forward to learning some new techniques because an armor build is definitely in my near future. Really want to make a vacuum press for my shop and start going thermoforming parts. Can't wait to learn from you all.

Hi everyone. I'm Friso. I made a account because, well it was a school assignment because we're going to make halo odst suits with school and we needed to make a account here as homework.

Hello, I'm Kate, 28 years old, currently living in New Orleans working on my PhD in evolutionary biology. When I'm not extracting fish DNA or teaching night classes, I'm a huge sci-fi/fantasy fangirl with numerous props and costumes particularly from BioWare games. I've haunted the Cosplay.com forums for years but lately I'm stepping up my game and could use a community like this with more ambitious builds!

I am living in Vancouver Washington, and have been using a 3-D printer for about a year and a half now. I'm especially interested in post processing techniques, and joined the group to hopefully learn some new skills.

Hi everyone,

I'm more of a fabricator, I have a lot of other skills to pick up before I can really be a complete artist. I like building scratch builds and solving problems.

I'm a 2D/3D artist by trade.

Hi all, I've lurked on the forum for years and again and again I’m amazed what great stuff is being built. Really inspiring.
I’m from Germany and I work as an IT Engineer.
I love building and collecting props especially from Star Trek and Doctor Who.
And I’m looking forward to maybe have something worth showing here
Thanks

Hello from Springfield Oregon. I just found your fantastic forum while researching the War Doctor. I've been a huge Doctor Who fan for years and finally getting around to a cosplay. After searching and waiting for years, the franchise has finally a great character with a goatee. (Shaved have of mine off to pull off a Magnum PI halloween last year and my wife wasn't the happiest since family holiday pics were a week later and the facial hair sucked then.) I've been finding pieces and plans for parts of my War Doctor outfit the past couple weeks and it's been fun. Details are a blast for me so this will be a great process I can teach my young son when he gets interested (he's 2 and only cares about his toys, making messes and filling diapers). I'll be a lurker until it'a appropriate for me to speak up or ask the proper questions. No need to make folks look sideways at me.
