Hey guys,

I guess it's about time to start sharing my art since I've been voraciously scouring the RPF for years to not only get ideas but make sure my cosplay is "up to standard". Thanks for all your posts, tutorials and pictures. They've been invaluable through my own struggles to create the -ultimate- props and costumes.

Thus far (and I'll be posting my walkthroughs soon) I've done a couple of my own designs as well as Connor Kenway, Aquaman (New movie version with Jason Momoa) and am planning a few more. I specialize in leather work but as an avid cosplayer, I dabble in all other mediums where needed.

Love the RPF and seeing your projects. Never stop creating!

Hello there!

My name is Alejandro, I live in St. Louis, MO USA and am new to Cosplay costume building but love to cosplay while I stream on Twitch and also to find cool costumes to wear or come up with my own for Halloween and what not.

I was referred to The RPF by a friend of mine on Twitch.

My first cosplay costume build is Adam Jensen from Deus Ex (Human Revolution) and I found great references in the forums.

In the future I would like to build the following costumes:
- C3-P0
- Kylo Ren
- Tyrael (Diablo III)
- New Voltron Characters

Hi, all!

I was at a convention this year, and a guy told me about this site. I forgot about it for a couple months but something jogged my memory, and here I am!

Hi! I'm Frank and I'm a babe in the woods in this whole hobby. I haven't built anything yet, but I'm in the phase where I'm frantically bookmarking all the cool projects I'd like to try.

Nice to meet you all!

Hello,
I am a new member, having found RPF through Pinterest. I am an avid Harry Potter fan and always on the look-out for free printables and articles on other peoples makes. Although I have joined primarily for H.P. I am also a fan of Tolkien's Hobbit and Lord of the Rings; and of Terry Pratchett's DiscWorld novels. I will be interested in anything o do with them as well.

Hello,from France

I'm a medieval reenactor who discovered a few years ago the pleasure to make props and other things for my favorite universe: Star Wars. Since, with a couple of friends, we make Star wars reenactment weekend in a magic troglodic place.

A bientôt !

Hello,

My real name is Chris and I enjoy Grandfather clocks, curio cabinets and long walks in the desert with R2D2. I have been a graphic artist and prop hobbiest for many years while making a living in Marketing. I have recently gotten serious about making prop replicas. My main goal was to find ways to achieve satisfying results without breaking the bank. I knew that if I could create something affordable that satisfied my need to own a prop that others would be interested as well. There are some amazing prop replicas available to those that can afford them, mine are much less elaborate but they satisfy my needs and I have found a market for them with people like me that don't require perfection at any cost. Not sure if that will be acceptable to everyone in this forum but I am what I am and I hope you will still welcome me into your Forum as I have found this to be a valuable resource for my work. Thanks for being awesome!

Chris

Hey! I am Green, and I am new to the world of cosplay and prop-building. I have admired them for a long time, and finally decided to jump in with both feet. I have an art background and I love the creative problem solving that these types of projects require. I have been sewing for a long time, and am well versed in a lot of crafts and fine arts. I am looking to learn about moldmaking, woodworking, 3D design and printing, and getting comfortable with power tools. I am obsessed with Fallout, and I plan to make a power armor helmet as my first big project. I would eventually like to create the entire set, and plan to do the custom pink flame job from FO4. I also love LotR and the Hobbit, and am looking to put together some stuff from the movies. Good thing I know how to knit!

I am always up for chatting about making stuff, so feel free to hit me up :)

Hello!

I'm Kevin. I just started getting into making and I'm loving everything about it so far. My interests include fantasy weapons and armor (from video games and anime) as well as model building (mostly Gundam models). My current projects include a hand cannon from Destiny (blueprints by Bill Doran of Punished Props), a Black Panther helmet for my girlfriend's nephew, a Mugatu Throwing star from the movie Zoolander, several foam batarangs for my dad's Kung Fu students, and a model of the Space Battleship Yamato. So far all the projects are going well. In fact, I did my first casting of the Mugatu Star last night. It was my first Silicone mold ever! Tonight, I will cast the resin replica!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing what all you folks are working on and talking with you all in the future!

Cheers!

Kevin:cheers

I'm Andrew. I have been cosplaying for a few years now (usually anime related), but never anything serious. I recently did a Guts cosplay, which required me to create a set of armor and a large sword. The armor turned out okay, but the sword was not made properly. Anyhow, since I have delved into the world of proper prop building. Tonight I will be starting on making Kratos' Blades of Chaos. The materials I mainly work on are foam board, EVA foam, and insulation board.

Hello all. I'm Phillip. I am a prop master/fabricator for the Seattle film community, and I am wanting to get more into making replica props and costumes. I got started in 2012 making costumes and fight-ready lightsaber hilts for the annual Lightsaber Choreography Competition. Since then, my sabers (along with me, a couple of times) have been used in several LCC entries. I started handling and making props and a couple of costumes for local short films, and I love it! I've done some Pepakura card-glassing, built a 3D printer, and last month I made my first few silicone molds. Up until now I've been making all original stuff, but I have a few cosplays that I've been itching to do for a while now. I've visited this forum for research on several of my past projects, and I figured it was high time to join.

This is an album showing some of my work: http://imgur.com/a/Mf3Xu

Hello everyone! My name is Rob and i am an amateur prop maker in Pennsylvania. I started in high school when i went to my first anime convention and created my first costume with armor bits made from pvc pipe, sheet metal, and a hat. I had to re-purpose and improvise ALOT in the early years but ive been steadily getting better over the years and i am adept at carpentry, 3d printing, and resin casting.

I heard alot about you guys from the various youtube channels and facebook pages i follow as an invaluable source for information and advice and i couldn't help but check this place out to see what it had to offer.

I've been looking to up my prop game recently and I hope you all can help me with that.

Hello,

My name is Bryan, I am an avid fan of creating and wearing costumes. My personal favorite cosplay is my handmade Medieval dead pool costume. I am currently finishing my Captain America costume and look foreward to premiering it at the next convention I am attending. I am interested in learning more about making costumes and possibly sharing my knowledge of making them to others.

Hello all, I've been on here for close to a year but I don't think I properly introduced myself.

I'm a lifer aliens franchise fanatic! Everything about the movies, books, comics just fascinates me. My first replica build was taking on the challenge of the pulse rifle. I wanted more than a wall hanger. I wanted something I could skirmish with for my airsoft outings and be fully functional. So for two years I collected and finally got her done. Through that time of searching communicated and running into more dead ends that care to remember I stumbled upon "THERPF". It is truly amazing for how much knowledge lies within this website, and its very humbling to see the passion and character that this group has. That being said I am happy to be apart of this community and look forward to seeing what you guys come up with next!

A little more about me, I have a few social media outlets I update every now and then. Here is my you-tube channel with some pulse rifle skirmish footage https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZpoJiSjvhL4mv6eVhE4qYw and my pulse rifle Facebook fan page. https://www.facebook.com/AliensPulseRifle/

Lastly I want to give a shout out to a member by the name of bigbisont, for his post "Aliens "Hero"(ish) Pulse rifle build: w/APS CAM870 shotgun 'guts' (DONE!!!) His detailed steps for building a pulse rifle replica were invaluable for completion of my own Space Gatt replica. Thanks a ton good sir, we owe you one for that wonderful post :)

Hello all. My name is Aaron and I'm just starting to get into this community. That means I'm a full fledge novice, so please be patient if you're kind enough to deal with me. I arrived at this sit on the advice of a cosplayer I meet at GenCon16. I'm looking to get into cosplay and hope to use the forums here and thoroughly pick the brains of its members. I look forward to talking/working with all of you here.
