Hello!

I'm Maddie/Mattie (depending on who you ask) and in the past two years I've begun to amp up my cosplay game, and realized it was time to join the rpf!

(At cons) I've cosplayed Captain Jack Harkness, Peter Parker, and the Winter Soldier. This is my second year cosplaying the Winter Soldier, and while the year before was mainly my trying to stay in budget, this year I aim to have an even more screen accurate cosplay (while hopefully staying in budget).

My grandma taught me to sew when I was 5, but I didn't start to further my abilities past beginner until I was about 13. I also like papier mache, I have some intermediate ceramics/sculpting knowledge, I'm learning various craft/eva foam techniques, and my dad (The Engineer) still helps me with some of my cosplay planning and construction (I think he likes the problem-solving).

In the future, I hope to cosplay characters like Wonder Woman, Zatanna, Black Canary, Spider Gwen, Jason Todd/Red Hood, The Punisher, Poe Dameron, and Rey. I also hope I get the time and equipment to do cosplay/prop commissions since I love making cosplays, but I need to learn a few more techniques first.

Hello everyone! Skotty here, excited to see all these awesome ideas come to life! Some truly talented people here that I look forward to chatting with. I love all things sci fi/horror! My job is demanding but my down time is spent on cosplay ideas! Cheers!

Hi All,

My name's Les and I've recently finished my full size Imperial Dalek (details on Project Dalek if anyone's there - Search for a Dalek called 'Neddie'). I'm looking into my next project and am wowed by all the talent and passion in the RPF group! Looking forward to contributing!

Cheers.

Hey hey hey.
I'm Anthony, and I'm relatively new to prop making. I've dabbled in small projects or really basics things for the last 10 years or so, but for the last two months I've been getting into more grandiose video game replicas. My main medium began as card board and duct tape as a teenager, and has now become resin and pepakura cut outs.

I've gotten so much inspiration and pointers from just lurking here and reading other peoples posts, that I figured I'd put out just a little more effort and make an account of my own to see if I can get help directly and maybe share my limited experience with others who may be able to learn from it.

Thank you everyone

I'm Kolin and a couple of weeks ago the my employer had a Star Wars day for the IT folk. There was a costume contest before the screening of TFA. I talked to a friend of mine who has an excellent Obi-Wan (Episode II) costume, I pulled together a decent (ok, by the crowd's standards) Han Solo costume. I was up until 3 AM 3 nights in a row. If I'm enjoying something that much, I want to do more. My next goal is Han TFA as I'm close to Ford in age, it seems like the best choice. Currently working on a blaster and this site has been an incredible help.

Hi, my name is Steve. I am a huge scifi fan and used to be an avid model builder. Currently my focus is on military style replicas for display.
I first heard of the forum from Adam Savage on one of his Tested vlogs. And then again and again, so I had to check it out, and here I am.

Hi there folks, I've been cosplaying with the 501st for a few years now and have recently been moving into doing costumes from other fandoms like comics. Looking forward to learning more and sharing my work!

Hey guys! I found this place while looking a predator stuff, and this place is amazing. Totally love it.

Greetings!

Short-time Lurker, long time awareness of the existence of the RPF.

I've slowly been working my way towards making cosplay a hobby of mine and a couple months ago started lightly perusing random projects. I've made some mediocre props beforehand and a couple costumes, all for Emerald City ComicCon.

I hope to get to working on a Mk 45 Iron Man Armor (Avgr. Acad. version) for EECC 2018, but hope to learn quite a bit from everyone here.

Hi
Introduction and also an apology - been a "member" on here for many years, and have loved researching various props and looking at the many projects members post up.
Never made a single post so everything has been one way - zero contribution from me, sorry.

Up until now my interests were almost exclusively Master Replica items but very recently I discovered the absolute wonder of holding a genuine Graflex in my hand I'm guessing there is no going back.

My collection includes vintage toys from my childhood and MR sabers and blasters but now that I have discovered the magic of Graflex I'm sure that is where I will be spending my time (and money) so hopefully I will be able to post/contribute to the forum.

Hello! Well I am about to embark on a Y-wing SimPit. I have seen enough Rebel flight suits and helmets as well as Y-wing Model builders threads that I hope to benefit from the experience around here.

Hello!

I found this site while researching a Rey costume build; it has been so helpful that I wanted to join in and see if I can contribute anything back to the community! I'm a novice when it comes to prop making and I can't wait to learn more!

Hello everyone.

Just starting to mess with building props and whatnot. Actually stumbled on this site because I was looking for a way to make Power Ranger helmets for myself, my wife (against her will), my son, and my nephew for Halloween. Working on the pink mmrp helmet first (so that way making the ones for the kids will turn out better... practice right?) Hopefully I can get a lot of help here because I'm gonna need it lol. So far its been a lot of fun if not a little unnerving since I'm not used to working with the chemicals. I'm excited to actually get to the point where I am working on the details instead of assembling the helmet itself

Hey Everyone,

I've been looking at the forum for ages, as I have been cosplaying and making costumes for 13 years and finally decided to register for the forum. I have many friends already who post and I believe it's time to join the fun. Many of you have inspired me and helped me to learn new things over years and it has led to me starting my own prop and armor business.I love making new stuff and continue to be inspired. I hope to show off some of the awesome things I make in the future and can't wait to see what everyone else makes.

Hello, My name is Dennis. I found this sight while searching for Han in Carbonite. The site had so much cool stuff, and talented people, that I had to sign up. :)

Hi everyone!

I've been to this website many times to see the wonderful props and costumes that people create and I've never remembered to create an account until now! I'm a huge fan of Marvel things and super heroes. Nice to meet you all!
