Hey everyone, I'm another long time lurker turned member. I've been making costumes and props on and off since 2009 though I'm more confident in sewing rather than prop making. My interests are pretty scattered, I've made costumes from Star Trek TOS, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Samurai Champloo and other anime. I'm hoping to complete Monster Hunter armor in September for Oz Comic Con.

Hey everyone, new to the site and already learning a lot. Looking to get into some EVA builds for my twin girls (almost 7). I got them into more serious costuming last year as Jawas for Halloween and some 501st events at the premier for TFA, super hero day at the children's museum etc. Now one daughter loves Iron Man and the other loves Ninjas and I blew her mind when I showed her Snake Eyes. So I guess I have some work ahead of me..

Happy to be here and looking forward to cutting my teeth on some foam builds.

Brand new member here but I have visited this site on more than one occasion. I am also a Member at the dented helmet and am working towards completing my very first costume, ever. (ESB Boba Fett) I have always loved star wars and comics etc. Would love to actually get more into costuming and creating new movie props. I have so much to learn but sites like these make everything seem not so daunting as everyone is always so helpful. Look forward to exploring the perks of membership!!

Hello everyone!!! Newbie to rpf... Special interest in Marvel, Star Wars, Men in Black, Expendables and Transformers. Looking forward to gain more friends with same interest wherever you are. Started collecting about 2 years ago. Got lighsabers recently but need to get more information about them. Not sure if movie used prototypes? Fan made? Replicas? Seller says from original collection of Star Wars but cannot provide enough proof. Hoping to hear for your comments or suggestions to learn more about them.

Hi Guys, New here (long time lurker though).. Been doing FX makeup and Animatronics for a long time, but now I want to get in to the foam craft side of things.. I tend to make my own creations inspired but not taken from popular films, or x-over creations.... (dont know why just always have). A bit in to my first foam helmet and armour.. so if it works ill post some pics.

Hi, I'm Scott, lurked here for a couple years now, registered a couple weeks ago. I'm a long-time original Trek fan, have been since I started watching it in re-runs in the early 70s. I am not especially talented, and so have bought the prop replicas and models I own. That doesn't stop me from wanting to learn as much about the miniatures and props from the show. On a Polar Lights 1/350 model I had build by someone far more talented than me, I did have many specific requests regarding the build, paint, panel lines, weathering etc., many of which were based on info. I learned on this site and elsewhere. I am not entirely without skills however, and have modified a couple of my professionally made pieces (including my "big E") to make them more to my liking.

Hello everyone!

I have been lurking around on the site for a long time, but I've finally decided to make an account!

As far as prop-based interests go, I'm pretty much all over the map. From film, video games, television, novels, comic books, and anime (yes I know that can fall under TV and film but I felt it was important to list it separately). I've always loved props and prop replicas, and I want to expand my collection (from pretty much nothing).

I'm really into Cyber-Punk as a genre and I would love to have costumes and props to match it. From source material such as (obvious mention) Blade Runner, Akira, and Snow Crash. I look forward to being part of this community as everything I have seen so far seems lovely!
