Hello everybody! my name is Daniele and I am a photographer from London. I am also a big DIY person which, united with my love for movies and comics, eventually brought me to www.tested.com and eventually here. I have been reading the RPF for almost 6 but never posted anything. I finally decided to register to become a proactive memebr of what seems like an amazing and honest community. Looking forward to meet some of you at the next comicon and learn tons of new skills and knowledge!

Hello all!
I recently am filling a childhood dream of wanting to be batman as a adult and began building a Batman begin costume. I found this site well into my build, and everytime I look for props it always came up and I seen some amazing stuff. Currently I have the cowl, chest armor, legs, knee caps, cape, a urethene belt, gauntlets, and a Aqua skin neoprene under suit. I have not mounted anything yet as my maniquine is just getting ordered. I am looking to improve this costume and even change what I have. Most of my costume is made of shore 40 urethene. I am looking for any advice, products, or services. I would love a better belt, good cape clips, neoprene gloves to start. Thank you and looking forward to being here. Here are a few quick pics of my build.

Hello!

I'm Rocket, a novice cosplayer/prop-maker/seamstress in need of a community & resources. I also write fanfiction, for those interested, which you can find at my DeviantArt or on FF.net. I have a habit of choosing difficult cosplay projects, & being frustrated by a lack of tutorials or tips on how to make things. Currently, I'm in need of Mass Effect armor patterns other than the default N7 gear. I hope that everyone here at the RPF can assist me in my endeavors!

Hi All,

Just dropping a line to say hello. Just joined this evening. I am a wanna-be maker, and have played round the edges with some Jedi robes for my young boys. I recently splashed out and bought a 3D printer and now have my first props - 2 thermal detonators from ROTJ, or my estimation of them.

Currently working on a storm trooper helmet for my youngest, and have requests for another for my eldest. Not sure how much life there is in a 3D printer, but I am sure i will find out.

Please feel free to say hello.
Scott

Hello everyone!
After lurking around for quite some time I finally decided to make an account. Ever since I was a kid I loved making the lightsabers from Star Wars and other props. These last couple of years I have been developing my drawing skills, many of my drawings can be found on my DeviantArt. About a year ago I rediscovered my love for making props through papercrafts, and I am now trying to make my props as accurate as possible. Looking forward to meeting people and learning much more about prop-making. Cheers!

Hey guys, I'm Eric from St. Louis, MO. I'm really into Star Wars and am just getting into prop building. My first project is a TFA Luke lightsaber replica! Next stop, stormtrooper armor.

I am a music director at a church and a full-time musician in addition. I play in a Trans-Siberian Orchestra tribute band that is my first real attempt at screen (or in this case stage) accurate reproduction.

Rock on!

Hi everybody! My name is Sky from Delaware. I'm new to prop making but I hope my construction and mechanical background will help me. I'm in to Star Wars, Star Trek, Batman, various video games... the list goes on and on haha.

My first big prop project is going to be a full scale buster sword wall hanger for a friend who is a diehard FF7 fan. I hope to get as accurate as possible, maybe do a little casting. Anyway, RPF seemed like the place to go for tips in that regard, so wish me luck!

Hello RPF! I am Offworlder. I am a novice prop and costume maker and looking forward to expanding my knowledge and learning a lot from all of you.

I have a few pieces right now, with my most favorite being my personal costumes from being an extra on Stargate SG1 and Atlantis.

I am currently working on my budget homemade smartgunner from the Aliens movie.

Good evening RPF, I have been looking around your site for a while and enjoy seeing your creativity and seeing flash backs to my youth :) I have done some kits recently - terminator T-800 bust, storm trooper helmet, e-11 blaster. I have also painted some pre-made kits - iron man helmet, predator skull.
I plan on doing a gremlin bust - also I want to do a Terminator brain chip in case.

I still have a lot to learn but I hope to get the most from your knowledgeable community.

Thank you for allowing me to join!

Justin aka Jaza

Hi All! I am fairly new to prop making but as my weird career has taking me from an animation degree, to almost 20 years in IT, and finally running a 3d printing company, I find myself getting into finishing designs I've printed. I did do a fair amount of model building as a teen, and find it odd to come back full circle, but it is quite satisfying. I've been lurking here a while, and I've incorporated several tips I've read into my ever-evolving quest to Make Cool Stuff!

Hello everyone. I am very new to the cosplay/prop business but I am very excited to get started. I am starting off with an Assassin's Creed (Arno) build and also doing a Captain America Helmet just to familiarize myself with some tools, materials, and methods to this whole business. I love the community here and hope to start contributing very soon!

Hey everyone I'm Benny, I am a 32 year old maintenance director and handyman. I got directed to this site from watching Tested.com. I have been a carpenter for 16 years and a Macqyver my whole life. I'm starting to get into prop making, I've made my friends and family a few items that i whipped up in my Man-Lab. So far I've made a functioning Green Hornet ice fishing pole (from Grumpy Old Men) for my fishing fanatic buddy, Shawn of the Dead cricket bat and I help customize Halloween costumes for my friends. And im slowly turning my 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser into a Mad Max mobile. I'm looking forward to expanding my knowledge and skills through the community here. I'm a huge Raiders fan and Star Wars comes in at a close second. Nice to meet you all!

Hi Guys,
I am a trumpet maker for a living, and a prop maker for hooby. Love this place, and now I am a member. Feels good to belong.

Hello. My name is Aaron. I am an novice prop builder and have been for some time. I mainly dabble in various projects that catch my interest. Most of them get derailed when I loose focus and move on, or the final outcome is not up to my expectations. I've know about the RPF for a few years and hopefully can learn from others to improve my craft. As far as my interest it mainly comic related. Both print and movies.

Howdy RPF,
I'm Mr Greebly, a creative and performing arts tech from the UK. long time modeller, photographer, artist and dreamer.
have been lurking around the modelling section for a while now, and thought id better join up as im about to tackle the Hasbro hero millennium falcon. and will probably need lots of advice :)

Hi there,

I've been modelling since I was 5 years old and have only just begun to take a more active and meticulous approach to my modelling experimenting with my painting techniques to achieve a more realistic aged appearance rather than the factory showroom finish.

I'm about to start two pairs of colonial Viper's, mk2 and mk7's for a christmas present, the research for which led me here

My most recently completed project was a new x-wing from The Force Awakens and this will be no doubt be the first post I upload after this introduction.

I look forward to seeing some great projects here and getting useful feedback and tips from all the other members of the community.

See you out there.

Rich
