My recent prop builds are a stormtrooper armour suit, blaster and a few alien face huggers.

Hello all. New here... (obviously)

Minor league prop collector myself. Only have between a dozen and two dozen items myself. All sci-fi. Mostly Star Trek, but some Battlestar Galactica (modern) and a few misc items that big companies made buyable replicas, like the Matty collector Ghostbusters gear, or other such. Afraid I'm just a collector, totally lacking in skills at all. I out-source to talented folks on the occasion when I acquire a kit. Haven't been able to afford to do such in years but am doing such on behalf of a friend at the moment.

Anyone into Star Trek props might appreciate that I work with TrekCore.com, who I've heard many a Star Trek prop makers/buyers use for research via our screen shots. ;)

So... yeah. Hi!

Hey there I'm a new member to the site, been lurking for awhile and finally got registered. I haven't built too much stuff and what I have built isn't impressive but that's why I'm here to learn new things and build more props for my personal collection. Thanks for having me on here.

Howdy! I'm very excited to be part of this community and I know it will help me grow and teach me new things as I make costumes for myself and friends! Can't wait to get posting and see what others are doing!

Hello! Just got into cosplay and found this site whilst researching. Currently working on sculpting and casting a Batgirl mask. Can't wait to share more!

Hello all! I'm Mike from Tucson, Arizona. I've been making props and costumes for almost two years. (mostly modified Nerf and airsoft guns, and EVA foam or similar for costume construction.) I currently have 2 complete costumes for Cons and Halloween (Destiny Titan and Military Battle Armor), and I'm currently working on the 3rd for PHXCON 2015. (Sektor from MK3)

I'm looking forward to making some great costumes and props in the future. And, I'm always ready to help out with any advice I can give to fellow cosplayers/prop makers/etc.

See you at PHXCON in May, 2015!

Hi all!!!
My name is Marco and I'm from Milan, Italy. I found this forum very casually in internet, about 2 years ago, and since then I use it for make some of my cosplay. I'm in the cosplay world only from 1 year, and I'm still a beginner; for what concern the materials and the techniques that I used, I can't say much, since I'm still learning. For now I make a M8 Avenger from Mass Effect, using polystirene and cardboard, I make Cole from Infamous 2, and I'm working on 4 characters from the CW's Arrow (Arrow himself, Arsenal, Merlyn/Dark Archer and Deathstroke)
I really like the seriousness, the passion and the creativity that members on this forum use for talk about a cosplay, and I found very helpful many guides that are here. Probably this is my favourite forum regard to make a cosplay (materials used, search an accessories, how to make this and this, etc.).
Hope my travel in cosplay world can improve, now that I'm a member of this fantastic forum.
Oh, and I want to apologize for my bad english, I'm a noob also in this ahah
Thanks all!!!

Hi there!
I'm a prop enthusiast and have known about the forum for some years but decided to get an account because I'm looking to craft my own copy of the Neverending Story's book.
Thank you all ;)

Hi Folks!

I've always been interested in props and costumes, but really delved into it in 2009 when I joined Formal Dress Optional, the Rocky Horror Picture Show shadowcast in Newark, DE. I've now amassed a decent collection of costumes that is steadily growing. My current project that I will probably start a thread for is the gas mask from Little Shop of Horrors, as I will be playing Orin Scrivello in a production of it on Friday the 13th.

Cheers!
Shawn

Hello Everyone,

My name is Adam. I have been a member of the Rebel Legion for several years and a member of the 501st for the last year. (RC21130). I have a love for movies and a desire to build and collect replicas from them! I am currently working on a Captain America shield and an R2 droid. In the very near future I want to make some props from Jurassic Park and Ghostbusters.

Hey All,

My name is Chris and I'm from Atlanta, GA (Detroit born). I try to attend DragonCon every year and always see well known members of the rpf in attendance. I've been a silent watcher of the site for years and a member for a few months but now that I've finally completed my first project I decided it was time to step out and be social so cheers. I am a HUGE Star Wars fanatic but after years of claiming it to be the best series ever I have recently gave that title to the entire Lord of The Rings series. I've started many projects but so far have only completely finished one: my ANH Stunt Stormtrooper. I will post a thread for it and another for my next project, the new Ep. 7 Stormtrooper. I'm excited to finally be a member here and hope I can contribute with my work and pass along a few tips I've learned on my own.

Your New Friend,
Chris

Hi there!

Found this forum while looking for cosplays of Tali'Zorah from Mass Effect... love her outfit, especially the mask.
By now I'm not that much into cosplay but I've always liked to craft *stuff*, miniature models, just all ideas that come to my mind!
So... bye, need to go and browse some forums :)

Hi everybody !

I didn't see the topic earlier, so I'll introduce myself now !

My name is Guillaume ( hard to say, I know ), I'm from France, I'm 18 yeaur old !

I registered in this forum to star making my Amazing Spider-Man 2 replica, thing is I don't know how I'm going to do that. I ordered a TJack Faceshell+lenses combo that I should receive in a few days, a pair a Web-Shooters on shapeways, that has been confirmed. Unfortunately, I ordered the finger pads and the web-shooter pads but it was canceled because shapeaways affirms that the design is gonna make it too fragile.
So I'm without any finger pad or web shooter pad for my replica .. guess I'll have to do it myself with puffpaint ... Also don't know how I'm gonna make the costume itself, I'll see !

See you soon !

Hi to all! I'm a new dad, I am in the military stationed in NY, and I love scifi. I have been been interested in making prop stuff since my childhood days of watching scifi shows like SG-One and Andromeda.
Just recently, I saw a post on Pinterest about how someone made a storm trooper helmet out of foam. I didn't make the connection of how they did it until I was at Home Depot the other day and saw the interlocking foam pads. OMG! I have been missing out on the potential of costume making!
So now I want to do different armour and items for fun. Hopefully my son will be interested in the same as he gets older, and will want to help.
I am completely new at this, but I am getting a lot of good ideas and help from the threads and forums here. Looking forward to post my own stuff!

Hello!
I'm Jon and I hail from the sun-baked land of Florida, USA! Its singularly awful for costuming, but us costumers here muddle through! I joined the RPF to gain more tips and tricks to use in my builds!
I have a Star Wars custom Mandalorian with the Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club:

And two Warhammer 40,000 Space Marines in the works:

I look forward to seeing the excellence!
