Sup everybody I'm Greg and very glad to be a part of this community!

Hey all, I found out about this site listening to the Adam Savage podcast. I might be a bit on the fringe here in that I haven't made and true prop or costume replicas however I do like to mash things up a bit and build things inspired by TV and movies. I recently finished a Tardis book shelf/display case with working police box signs and beacon as well as a X-wing/Evel Knievel Skycycle mash-up. I've got lots of other projects in mind and now that I saw there's a large Judge Dredd forum (oh yeah, I'm currently working on restoring a vintage pachinko machine and, at the same time, converting into a Judge Dredd themed machine) I may just go for some prop building soon.

Hello everyone, I'm Marina from Vietnam, I'm a Marvel fangirl and also new to the cosplay world.
I love to cosplay villains, especially Loki and Magneto. I cosplay using mainly casual clothes, as I haven't had any costumes yet (but next year I will) :)
I'm looking forward to learning more from everyone.Oh great cosplayers, tell me your secrets :D

Hi everyone, I'm Edith.

I'm from Poland.

I'm an artist, a gamer.

I decided to try my hand at making cosplay. I have no experience with costumes, any advice will be appreciated.

Greetings. My name is Edward. I have decided to join the RPF after getting interested in cosplay these last few years. I do not know too much about cosplay, so hopefully I will after spending some time on here. I have only done one cosplay as Marshall Lee from Adventure Time (as you can see on my profile picture). I am currently trying to create a Spider-Man cosplay but I need help. Hopefully I will receive help soon.

Edward

Hi, everyone! I'm Jeff, and I decided to join the RPF after some friends of mine have recommended that I join to get more feedback and mentoring for a few projects I wanted to work on. A lot of my friends cosplay, and I personally have 2 costumes right now: a Starfleet Captain from the newer Star Trek movies, and a Colonial Marine from Aliens. I'm looking for help for four more costumes that I want to do: a Battlestar Galactica flight officer, a modern Assassin from Assassin's Creed, a Mandalorian from Star Wars, and an Imperial Space Marine from Warhammer 40000.

I look forward to everyone's input and advice!

Hi Everybody, I joined the forum as I am a massive Back to the Future fan and would like to start a collection of props once I can afford something. I have been reading the BTTF Nike Mag V2 mod thread all day and found the information provided and expertise of the members amazing. I look forward to joining in and hopefully some day get my dream pair :)

Hello, I'm Misty from Atlanta. My husband and I have recently gotten interested in costuming and prop building so we are finding all ways of learning. So many talented people on this forum with great tips. Our first project is possibly an overly ambitious Sith Inquisitor costume from SWTOR for my husband. My interests are anything Tolkien and other fantasy. My main skill is sewing.

Hey, my name's Neal. Welsh Bloke from the United Kingdom.
Studied Art & Design, then later went on to study as a Car Designer (as you do)

Came across this awesome site looking for inspiration for our own project last year (only now getting around to sign up)

We were selected from thousands of other hopeful entries to take part in The Red Bull Soapbox Race event to be held at Alexandra Palace in London on July 14 2013.
Our theme was based on the Transformers.
Our Team name: The Autobots - Welsh Blokes in Disguise!

I played the role of Bumblebee as Team Captain and Head Designer.
All of my ability's were put to the test; I was heavily involved with the project throughout.
The 3D Modelling of the Exterior and Graphics, the Design of Chassis, Axles, Steering & Breaks, The Character Design and Costume Build, Sourcing the Materials and the Idea behind the Stage Opening Performance.

75 Teams took part in the event.
We scored in at 24th place and were voted as the Best Costume Design.
I'm sure if our little Autobot army of fans had a say, we would have been ranked in the Top 5! :)

Hi All,

My name is Jeff, I was looking for help on creating a Captain America Stealth Suit costume as I plan on going to my first ever Comic Con in London next May with my daughter (who will be dressing as Batgirl) and wanted to surprise her by also dressing up, anyway I found this fantastic site and the rest is history. :)

What a lot of talented and imaginative people to have in one place, I am truly impressed with some of your creations, hats off to you all.

I am unfortunately in no way creative or have any skills when it comes to making things (apart from the odd mess!) so I had the crazy idea of getting an actual tailor/costume maker to make the suit for me, I found someone and she was so intrigued with the concept she has accepted the commission.

Even though someone is making the costume for me I am sure to need the help and advice of you good people on other aspects so I look forward to drawing on your wealth of knowledge.

Bye for now. :)

Hello, I am Brad. I found this by browsing Arrow props. My intrests are Arrow, The flash, Doctor who, fallout, stargate, marvel, dc, and many other things

Bonjeur, everyone! My name is Cameron. I've been a big ' ol movie buff ever since I was a kid. Kept finding my way onto this site, so eventually I decided "why not?" And I made a profile!

I came to meet some fellow enthusists, and if I'm lucky maybe even walk away with some props to kick start my collection. :)

Hi I'm Lena!

I have been making costumes since 2009 and around that time I discovered this awesome site and I've been lurking for years! So I thought now or never to be an actual participant of this site :)

I got into costuming through cosplay and this is the group who I do my main cosplays with:

(you can see pics of my costumes^)

I've recently wanted to get more into proficient prop building so I am going to try to post my projects here to get some feed back! Hopefully! :)

Thank you for reading!!

Ahoy everyone!
I am Vicky, 31 years old from London.
I just love memorabilia, I started collecting about 5 years ago and I feel one day I can open a museum... I also enjoy cosplaying, learnt how to sew to make my own cosplay (but I find it hard to find woman that I would like to bring it to real life). Well, I've finally started a project about super heroes, which I love, I am doing Captain America's shield, and in the future when I get my own 3D Printer, I want to make iron man's helmet and Thor's Mjolnir.
Soon I will be posting pictures and it would be great to have your feedback and make some friends! :)

Hello all,

I'm just getting into Prop making and I'm here to learn and make some friends.

I'm currently working on four projects:

- Two Hobbit costumes for myself and my little 7 mo. son. (Cloaks, feet, etc..)

- A Shredder costume for my older brother.

- Dwarf Armor for my little brother.

It's... a whirlwind right now since there's a lot going on at my house that isn't costume related. Haha, we'll see how much of everything I get done before Halloween!

Hello Guys, Alex aka Dexter here from Romania,I`m 19 and I`m a freelance VFX artist (I just started so don`t ask if I work for episode 7 :)) ) . The main reason I`m here, apart from learning about materials, techniques and build some more stuff in the future, is because I want to make a Daft Punk helmet (Ignore the one in my Profile Pic, its CGI ) and I have no idea how to make it easier than what I`ve seen until now. Modeling in foam and bondo doesn`t seem really hard ,but casting feels like a whole different league for me.

Also if any of you ever need some 3D Modelling, feel free to ask I`m more than happy to help the community.

Hey guys! Name's Eli and all this is quite new to me. Literally made my first cosplay yesterday (Ben Reilly Scarlet Spider) which I wore to my Halloween party last night. Planning on doing a good few cosplays in the next while (my username is a give away about one of them :p) so you'll probably get sick of me asking advice very quickly but I'll do my best not to ask stupid questions. Until then, peace out.
