Hello all.
I've been a lurker here for a long time and I started building suits around 3-4 years ago, I've built quite a few suits and props over the years and now I'd like to start sharing them with the community. There are pics of most of my work in my signature.

The Iron Man suit you see there is actually a suit I built for youtuber SlyFoxHound (https://www.youtube.com/user/xXSlyFoxHoundXx) and will be revealed on his channel tomorrow on Halloween.

Here's a picture of Sly and I at RTX 2013:

And a better Pic of the Iron Man Suit:

I am an Electrical Engineering student and I will be graduating this semester. The Iron Man suit was my team's capstone senior design project and as such has a lot of extra features that I'm excited to show everyone. I intend to post about the Iron man suit and all it's extra features once it has been revealed by Sly.
I will be uploading several detailed videos about the suit to my YouTube channel after Sly's reveal. (https://www.youtube.com/user/TheToolboxArmory)

Thanks everyone for reading - hope to contribute a lot more in the future!

Hi everybody, my name is Gilberto and I'm from México. I started cosplaying recently and I found it awesome, hope to learn many things from you guys!

Hello!

I've recently got into cosplaying and found your site through a random google search for props. Currently my only coslplay so far has been Harley Quinn and I only started last week at my first convention.

Hopefully many more cosplay exploits ahead such as poison ivy and other such characters!

Hi everyone,
I'm someone new in cosplay, i'm here for learning, and be able to do my cosplay all by myself with the construction.

Hi guys!
I was searching for a costume for my son and I found this amazing site (therpf.com) I Found a lot of cool and spectacular builds, tips and tricks.
This site rocks!

Greetings!
I've been lurking for about a year. My current goal is a Captain America TFA costume. My first step is the shield, and I've been working on Valor's method. It's been slower going than I would like, but I'm getting there.
So far, I've interacted with several members, and everyone's been amazing. I don't come from a strong building background, but I'm learning with this project, and everyone's had good feedback for me.
I'm really happy to be here and I'm really happy to consider myself a part of this community.
Thanks for making this awesome site so awesome!

Hi everyone!

I normally don't do the costume/cosplay kinds of things (newlywed, trying to save for a house), but I am really handy with a dremel and a soldering iron. I found this place after looking for ideas for TRON/TRON Legacy costumes/props, and I came across Soulinertia's kits for Identity Discs here. I can't wait to pull the tools back out of the garage and start tinkering with an awesome Sam Flynn costume for next Halloween.

Hope to start talking to you all more often!

Hey everybody!

I'm a student/business owner who has been collecting props for a few years now. Recently I've become interested in making some prop replicas of my own, so I'll be around the forums asking questions and hopefully making some nice props for people.

Hi everyone. My name is Kyle...First time poster, Long time follower...
{Hi Kyle...}
OK, that was weird... ummm. ahhh...
{it's ok, don't be shy...}

I have been, and always will be, a fan of Special Effects, VFX, makeup, costuming - and everything else that helps to create the fantastic and make it real. I've always been a 'dabbler' into these things, probably starting from painting original D&D minatures in the early 80's - but have only recently been diving head first into their actual creation. I've seen many an amazing creation here on this forum and appreciate the talent, time and creative energy that people bring. Another amazing thing to me is the camaraderie and helpfulness of others towards those who need help, assistance, kudos... or just a general kick in the right direction to solve problems.

I love all things that are fantastic in this 'Verse - from SW to ST, Middle-Earth to WH40k, Marvel & DC... there really are too many to name...

Now, it's more about T&M.. Time and Money... and that is....

Hey.... where did everyone go?
{drops mike. sounds of footsteps echo in an empty gymnasium...}

Hello everybody,
My name is Tasha, I'm from Belgium but living in France and happy to have found this forum.
I'm a metalhead and big fan of medieval festivals. I like to dress up and create a whole new persona for me during those festivals.
Only recently I started a new hobby, which is Steam Punk DIY.

So, that's about it, I hope to make some new friends here so we can exchange ideas!

See yah!

As a new member I wanted to say 'Hi' and also to let you know that I joined the forum specifically to reseach and find an item. So any assistance would be appreciated. :) I'm in the market for a display version of Vader's helmet from ESB or ROTJ only. I'm looking for screen accurate as well as quality. Naturally, I'm seeking a high/higher end one. If you have one or know someone that is selling or thinking of selling one please post or send me a PM...

Bryan.

Hello I'm Jonathan,
I've been interested in making things since I first started going to the local anime convention. I want to make costumes from zelda and others. So many ideas...
Thank you

Hello,

I'm new to RPF. I have a lot of interests, but not a lot of builds. All I can offer are some photos of something I call the EEV (Earth Exploration Vehicle). It was for a short film I intended to produce, but never completed. It's built on a Traxxas Emaxx RC truck. I got a 6 wheel modification from Gallimods.

I built a frame for the body using shelving brackets -- looks a lot like erector sets. It weighed a ton, but the Rover could drive around and had an articulated head, arms, a circular saw, a core drilling saw (cake decoration nozzle), speculum (yup). It also had a sample intake port based on the iris doors in ALIEN (1979).

The robotics were stolen from a scrapped iCybie robotic dog. This project is very old and a little unpolished, but you gotta start somewhere.

Here are some photos and videos:

Thanks and I'll be around. Nice to meet everybody!

Hey guys!

I'm somewhat new to RPF, I've known about it for years, but never really posted anything. But Comic Con is coming up soon next year so I've decided to do a Skyward Sword LInk cosplay, and share my progress on here, along with hopefully receiving some suggestions. I like to build a lot of fantasy type stuff, mainly weapons, but all the same, ill build anything overall.

I hope to have a great time here, and I'm glad to meet everyone!
KingBariSax,

Greetings all,

I was once a member of The RPF but on a more voyeuristic level : ) I believe my old account has long vanished. However, I have been following the site on Facebook and today will post a costume scratch build. I am also a member of The Dented Helmet.

I do, and have done a bunch of different things. Graduate from The Ontario College of Art and Design - long ago it seems, in a galaxy far, far away. I've worked as a graphic designer for approximately 20 years. I also sculpt and have had exhibited my work in both group and solo shows. For the past 2 years I've been working for a mascot company carving and building mascots. There I learned a lot about foam something I never really used prior. My son and I are huge Star Wars fans, and I have been making him costrumes for several years now. Thanks for having me, I look forward to sharing and learning.

Hello. This is dgranadoz here in south Texas. I was looking for an Ironman template to make a costume for my son. I downloaded the Pepakura Viewer and that site referred me to this site. I am amazed at the talent on this site.

Hello amazing people of the RPF!

I am DarkDoom, a person who's interested in cosplay. I'm hoping to start soon. I have a few ideas and I hope to make cosplay a lifestyle and I hope to make friends here! I am amazed at what people could do for a low budget, the costumes and props are incredible!
