Hi there

I am Barb from Ontario Canada

I have dabbled a bit in making simple props for Halloween and am always looking to expand y horizons and with all the great stuff that i have seen on this site, my imagination is just continuing and continuing, cant wait to get started on more, My second love is Harry Potter items which I will be focusing on for next Halloween, this one is reserved for Witches, Ive already started thinking about both Halloweens. We have a seasonal trailer and celebrate Halloween in early October, and for once I am really thinking ahead and so excited. I will check this site as often as I can for ideas and how-it-should-look-like ideas.

Hi. My name is Sam. I am a new member to the Site. Been looking at all the builds for a couple of years and used what I learned to build my first foam armor. Must credit squidoo builder Dave for the foam templates and used this site for some help. Now I am working on Garrus build. Just finished my first prop weapons and am working on the armor now. Thanks for all the free info on this site. Sam Bracken

Hey there, AskKayleeFrye here. I've been lurking for a while, but figured I might as well join and that sort of thing. You can find me on Tumblr. Facebook and Deviantart with the same username :) As you may have guessed, I cosplay Kaylee from Firefly and have been for almost 2 years.

Hi all! I've been reading The RPF for a while now, but hadn't made anything of my own until my little girl started asking for 'Real' versions of things from her favorite books, movies, and television shows. First it was the Harry Potter phase and wizarding tools, so I took up wood turning and carving to set up her and her friends with some nice wands. Then came Doctor Who, and Ghostbusters, and Tron, and my oh my I'm going to be busy :)

well hey there everyone! you can call me pyro, im a full time geek and love all things nerdy. ive just recently been getting into making, and figured this site would be a great resource. im currently designing some custom sci fi armor for my halloween costume, complete with "robotic" arm, lights, and mask/helmet.

Hi All,

Hi everyone,

Signed up back in Jan after searching the web for various props and I almost always ended up here eventually so I figured I would join. I am blown away at all the props and costumes that people make and everyone seems very helpful and interested in sharing what they know and that is awesome.

I started out making things when I was kid. Back then it was stuff out of cardboard, tape, aluminum foil and other materials I could grab around the house. Things like lightsabers.

I know have a growing collection of props from Star Wars, Star Trek TNG, Lord of The Ring and the Hobbit. I just started my first prop build of the Farnsworth from Warehouse 13. And this forum has been very helpful in me finding the right parts. My next prop is going to be a Grail Diary from Last Crusade and that prop has been on my list since I first saw the movie.

I love holding a piece of my favorite movies, I guess that's why I collect and am now getting into making my own. I'm sure I'll keep finding new prop projects and can't wait to post pics and share what I'm up to and I'll be here to check out the cool stuff you all are up to.

Hello everyone :D

I'm James, a member of the R2 builders forum. I've been a member here for a while now but mainly lurking and reading.

I've tried avoiding the RPF as much as possible as it's an evil place that saps your money through the art of temptation ;)

However, now that my (first) R2 is done, I wanted to have a hand at other props.

I've recently received a Biker Scout bucket, so will be working on that - but I kind of feel it's a cheat, as the hard part is done. I'd like to expand my skills into working with fibreglass, vac forming etc. Just working with materials I haven't explored properly yet :)

hi guy,

Greetings from Phoenix. I am glad to have stumbled on this site when looking for some info for this year's upcoming Halloween costume. I am blown away by the work on here and greatly intrigued by the Pepakura work being done.

Hello all,
I'm from Boise, ID. I got the itch to start a Han Solo blaster so I decided join up. Hope to see you all in the threads.

Greetings from Finland!

I'm Sami and new to the forums. I heard about this place from Tested podcasts. I'm a professional game artist and I don't have any experience from prop building yet. I've done some wood and metal working when I was younger. I plan to learn by doing small props first. Hopefully I can get some help from you guys :)

For a long time I didn't touch resin, clay and molds, but I recently decided to get back in the saddle, and I love it! I love to be in a environment with creative people sharing their stories and enthusiasm. Below is my recent sculpt and cast of a medium dragon skull. bronze.jpgdragon skull.jpg

Hello everybody!

I've been a pretty passionate costumer for a while, until recently I never really did any cosplay of convention stuff. So this is my first year really putting myself into high gear of costume making. I stumbled onto this site looking for Dead Space Marker pep files, and now I'm a member hahaha.
I'm very much looking forward to my cosplay future and meeting people in this forum :)
