What's up guys and gals,

I stumbled across the RPF a few months ago while researching information about building a Captain America shield. I got into prop building a few years ago when I built two Iron Man arc reactors from literally a box of scrap plexiglass. I'm really excited to be able to share ideas with all of the talented people who post on these threads! I've already gotten so many good tips on future builds and hopefully I'll be able to give someone as much help as some other members have given me! I'll post pics from the arc reactors and my current Cap build.

Hi, everyone.

My name is Dieter, I'm 28 years old and I live in Ypres, Belgium.

Ever since I saw the special edition release of Star Wars in 1997, I've been a big fan of the series. Over the years my interest has grown to practically everything that has something to do with movies, but especially those that are SF & Fantasy-related.

I've been collecting movie-related pieces for about 6 years now, mostly statues and maquettes but I'm hoping to do a bit more replicas in the near future too.

Cheers!

Hi peeps!
My names Stephen i'm 37 and live in Aberdeen, Scotland. I'm not as talented as the other members on this forum so usually pay for someone to make my costumes for me. I do kids parties and attend charity events. The pics attached are my Spidey costume which i am currently awaiting an updated Asm2 costume to be made (pics will follow) and my batman costume.

Hello everyone!

I have trawled this site up and down and some of the work on here is out of this world. Unbelievable stuff. I haven't built anything yet but after looking through here I shall be. Right now I am researching and figuring out what I want to build....the pool of info here is rich that I keep changing my mind every five minutes on finding a new and exciting build thread. Not helping in the slightest!

Anyway, my name's Kieran and I am currently residing in canada just out toronto. Any locals about?

Hi everyone, I came across the rpf, whilst researching labyrinth door knocker. I am making one for my course that I am doing. I am doing a foundation degree in prop making and special effects in Worthing England. This wil be the first time that I have ever reproduced something from a film.... So am quite nervous about it... If u have any hints or tips, that would be great! I am making it out of plastiline and then making a mould from it out of plaster and then slushing the mould with slushing latex, so that you can put your hand behind it and move the mouth. Can wait to finish this and hope I can make it up to standard! Might even sell it or keep it but unsure yet.

Wish me luck hehe!

Emma

Hi found this place finding awesome Spiderman costumes and projects. Been wandering the forums looking at your guys great works for awhile. I joined since I've been wanted to make my own Spiderman costume for so long and this seems to be the best place to get started. Glad to finally join.

Greetings!

I'm from Alberta Canada and have just attended one event, the 2014 Calgary Comic Expo, wearing my G1 9.1 scale (except head & gun grip) Optimus Prime toy costume rig. I'm looking to learn more for my next build, G1 cartoon/comic Megatron for Halloween.

Here's a shot from the event: http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y470/M...zps41cc52b3.jpg

See you about!

Cool site. Came here because I heard about it being a great forum for learning how to make costumes and props and stuff and I need some advice on my first real project.

Hey there I'm Michelle I am new here, wanting to create and/or buy mando armor have no idea what I am doing too much. Was suggested to go here to look for armor and things that I could give measurements and have shipped to me. As well as people to give me tips and tricks of the trade of Star Wars Costumes and Props. I have friends that are apart of 501st and have been doing it for quite some time. They are talented individuals and I have been dreaming of having my own for a while but lacking the knowledge, the tools, and the means some place like this sounded like a great idea to be able to really get a leg up on what I've been trying to do. But I am willing to learn and work towards making something cool, or even buying some parts that I need and painting it how I want. I just would love to say I have and made my very own armor ya know.

well I guess it is my turn to say "Hi" to everyone. My name is Matt and will be starting into Cosplay. My first project is going to be the Witch King from the Lord Of The Rings. My goal is to have this completed by the end of Aug. for the comic con that is held in my city in sept.

Hi! I've just joined here after searching more more details on how to create the Night of the doctor 8th doctor costume. I love historical and vintage fashion. And sew a lot of my own clothes. I love to combine my love of history with Cosplay especially my fave show Doctor Who. I'm afraid my budget is usually very small so I will always try to be as creative as possible. If I can't buy it....make it. Is my motto.

Hi there! I came across this website looking for tips and tricks on making costumes (I really cannot make props) and decided to join today. I made my first cosplay ever a couple of weeks ago, my version of the 8th Doctor's costume from The Night of the Doctor. I made all the pieces of clothing myself, but I bought the props and accessories. I'm pretty proud of myself, even though I know I still have a lot to learn!

You can find a blog post about it here: https://mysewingpage.wordpress.com/2014/04/28/adventures-in-cosplay/

Hello

My name is Myles, and I am an artist. I'm currently trying to get a Bachelor's Degree at the Art Institute for Media Arts and Animation. I love to cosplay and I found this place after searching for Spiderman costumes and seeing MoonSpider's amazing costume. I am very interested in assembling a Miles Morales costume of the same caliber. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone here. :)
