Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum but I've been lurking in the shadows for a long time and finally decided to join the boards.

Greetings all,

I've been a long time reader trolling these boards for ideas and admiring the work of the members. I'm looking forward to posting my own projects on the forums and becoming an active member of the community. I'm from a small town in Ontario, Canada and only get out to the Fan Expo in Toronto. I'd love to get down to ComiCon or events like that at some point. (but that is a future goal)

I have a wide variety of projects I'm interested in. I'm in the planning/prep stages of some Marvel/DC work and am considering some different SciFi items that I've really thought were cool.

howdy!

long-time lurker... HUGE SW fan. Joined because I am starting a build and will prob need access to the junkyard at some point.

Cheers

Hello! I'm Jake, just recently got into the entertainment and costuming business and find this forum incredible useful! I hope to meet a lot of great people.

Hey everyone,
While I've been in rpf for the last few years (as earliest as 2009) I for some reason have been putting off my registration.

I'm currently working as a radio tech at my college's station, but I'm also an illustrator and a prop builder specializing in costuming. I got inspired from community building sites like indy mogul (god rest its soul) and most recently the Mandalorians Mercs website. As of right now I'm in the planning stages of building some Mando Beastmaster armor (as soon as I can figure out how to make a new thread)...

Hello everyone, I'm Katie; a long time lurker who had forgotten that I'd registered. I like doing crafty things and while I'm not at the standard of a lot of people here, I've learnt a lot from reading the forums and it's given me the confidence to try new techniques and materials. I threw myself into things and I've nearly finished making a predator bio helm (they are my most favourite alien) and I'm looking forward to trying to make other things and sharing my successes and hilarious disasters with you all!

edit - I sometimes make very poor sentences >.<

Hey all! I'm Victor, an amateur crafter from the great Midwest. I dabble, and usually have many, many projects at various stages of completion. I am a Tolkien enthusiast, Doctor Who fan (more on that front later today), Halo armor crafter, and many other things. Glad to be here, and I hope you all enjoy viewing my projects!

Justin. A fan of Sci Fi (Trek and Doctor Who) props.

I also like Hobbit/LOTR, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Harry Potter, with the occasional Ghostbusters, BTTF, and Star Wars item, though I am not an active SW fan.

Hi everyone. I have lurked for a good amount of time; getting ideas and such from some of the great members of the rpf. I have so far used the rocketeer pep file in the speed building thread top make a rocketeer helmet mast to make my lil guy for Halloween (took third in his division in the all city contest. can't beat babies) I look forward to trying to make more props and costumes.

Hi, I'm Raymond And I'm from the Netherlands. I've been surfing this forum for a few months now and started with an iron man build.
I think I found a really cool hobby to get me trough the boring winter months. Thank's to all the members for sharing all this great information.

Hello all,
I am Dougie & hail from Scotland I have been nosing around in here for a few months after I stumbled across the site searching for something Star Wars related. I am a movie fan in genera butl SciFi is my thing & a few months ago I might have said I was a big Star Wars (Original Trilogy) fan but you guys on here take it to another level that I don't even get close to.....and unlikely to get to ;) I really enjoy following the build threads, they do not need to be Star Wars related for me to enjoy & am amazed at the abundance of talent shown by the forum members.

Hello ladies and gents...
Rich here from eastern PA. Had a stormtrooper costume and am a member of the 501st Legion. Have a long list of costumes I want to create. Any help would be appreciated. Obviously I need to do some research on this thread. TONS of info.

Hello ladies, gentlemen, and others, I'm Gus!

I've been lurking for quite some time now--I actually used the pep files from Zabana's Iron Man build to create a gauntlet for my "Toni" Stark for Emerald City Comic Con last March--but seeing as I'm about to tackle a pretty big project (Tali'Zorah nar Rayya), I figured it was high time I actually join the forum. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with next!

Hello
I'm Thomas, been making thinks most of my life however poor they might have been always enjoyed it. Found out about the RPF from watching Tested, the current project that I'd like to start is a security jacket from dead space downfall. Don't really have any idea what to start the build with in terms of materials for costuming.
In general, I like anything that has a lot of back ground information (lore) around it.
Thanks

Hey everyone!

My name is Kevin and I recently started making costumes this past summer for Anime Expo. It was pretty fun and I found out about this site looking for some IronMan pepakura designs and tips! :) Then I got entranced by everything that was on here and I'm super excited to start making more and more costumes! :D

Hello all, im just a happy dad of four kick awesome boys. I like building whatever and they enjoy playing/ breaking whatever i build. I just got into pepakura helms and now moving into weapons. I cant keep up with the demand of four boys so I need any guidance into creating molds, fast and cheap if possible. I did say I have four boys right?? lol. I hope to also contribute to anyone who may need it, im in it for the fun. Blue Rhino is out.

Hey guys!

Found this forum through some googling and I'm really excited to join.

I've been in the theatre world as a techie for about 10 years now. I specialize in set design and construction, but what I really love is prop making. I don't know if they're a place for them here, but I also really enjoy making puppets.

Hope to find some fantastic stuff here!

Gooood Morning RPF, haha sorry couldn't help it. I'm new to the whole costume making experience. I've been dabbling with chainmail and starting into leather work. My name is Dave, and I hope to make my own custom Work suit.
