I found this place a long time ago while looking for Tron stuff to make a collection. Then I lingered around and found out this has a great community!! I fell in love with collecting replicas and props! Then I joined and bought some stuff from here but never made any posts.
A little about myself: I love rock climbing, white water rafting, cliff diving, hiking, camping...etc. I have a passion for sportbike riding. Been doing it for almost two years.
I love making Gundam models when I have the time...I also play ps3 sometimes too.
I am a paint tech at WM in my local town. Two years experience.
I have a girlfriend and she has two kids of her own that I adore as much as I love her
we are a happy family.

Greetings, one and ALL! Been on the board for a while lurking, but I guess its time to get into the light, after four years being a "New Member." Time to get rid of the New Member banner that is on my screen.
The name is acrylikhan, and I have been helping others make props for their costumes for the past 12 years. Professionally, I am a model maker by day working in the prototype industry. Most of what I do is pattern finishing, deco painting and urethane casting. Every once in a while I get to do some CAD work, and play around with the 3D Printer.
Currently, I am constructing a full scale NSD Red Supreme Dalek from Doctor Who, a Classic EARTHSHOCK Cyberman, and eventually, I will get back to my Star Wars Biker Scout. A friend of mine is getting me back into Star Wars Prop building with a Thermal Detonator Project. I had done one in the past, but I found that my dimensions were off, and sold it a few years back. So my friend is asking me to redo it...well, more like, I'm helping her by making myself re-do the project.
I will probably will do more lurking than posting. I noticed posts get lost in the shuffle pretty quickly. And besides, I gotta find a place to load pictures so that they will display here!

Only recently found the forum after watching a tested.com podcast, and I'm amazed at how fantastic the creations on here are.... Very inspiring. I'm still looking about, but have seen a couple of things that I might possibly try and build.
I'm in the UK and a big fan of Sci-Fi/Fantasy... All the usual suspects.
An interesting journey lies ahead.

Hi, I just registered, i have been making budget costumes mostly for Halloween since i don't do cons of any sort. So far I've done costumes as Kakashi from Naruto, A WoW death knight, and Luffy from one piece. I just started on this year's costume which is gonna be Ironman. Nice too meet you all.

I'm Tom, 35, married to a VERY patient and supportive wife who encourages me to indulge my geekiness. We have two kids and life is settled to the point where we can dedicate a decent amount of time to collecting and costuming.
We have a fair few props and replicas, from LotR, Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek and The Dark Knight. Also have a replica of Obi Wan's costume from Episode III and am just setting up getting started on my Dredd movie costume. hello! My name is Joseph Bradley. I am from Michigan, USA. I have been "Lurking" on the rpf for some time now and have finally decided to take the plunge. I had never heard of this forum until I started listening to Adam Savage and Co.'s podcasts at Tested.com and I thought it would be a great place to visit. I have a list half a mile long of things I'd like to make, but find it dang near impossible to get motivated to get a project started. Hoping that by associating with y'all that I'll be able to overcome that.
Anyway, glad to be here.

Hey all
I heard about this site after listening to Still Untitled, Adam Savage's Podcast, loved the Scifi movies since I was a kid and always wanted my own version of the props, used to put airfix Star Trek ships together as a kid, then crudly melt battle damage into them.
Studied both Product Design and Architecture at University in the UK, and am now a Part 1 Qualified Architect, although I seem to have got stuck working for a Kitchen Manufacturer, however I have a passion for designing and model making.
Spend most of my time on this site looking through everyones projects trying to build up a knowledge base on how to produce things I want to make, as I've got lots of gaps in my prop making skills.
