Hello all
Name's Justin and I'm from Pennsylvania. I'm kinda new to this, and I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions for advice. I wanted to get into this after seeing a homemade set of gears of war armor, and at that point I knew that's what I wanted to do.
While I'm on the subject of stuff I'm looking to make, I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a pepakura file of vash's gun from trigun.

Hello!!!! haven't done any replica work yet, i mostly like to do scratch built stuff. Models, props, that sort of thing. Hope being a part of this community can help me in the future. - D

Hello amigos !!
I am a big fan of this site, I just move to the US from cancun Mexico. I left all of my proyects, costums, models etc, so i will be having a new workbench and stuff to show and share. You are all great artists, hope to get to meet you.

Hey, all. The name is Zid and i've been a huge fan of special effects and movie making since I was a kid. The creativity and artistry that goes into making movies, as well as the conflict that quite often drives that creativity fascinates me.
I've been involved in some really, really minor independent college productions way back in the 90's and the small amount of experience i've had in the business (I was a storyboard artist/key grip/lugger around of jerry-rigged gear) taught me that an awful lot of blood, sweat and tears goes into making dreams come true on film.
I've been wanting to get into propmaking for some time now, I just lack the skills. Hopefully i'll be able to learn a few things from the people here on this forum. Much respect to those of you who are taking strides to preserve film history via recreation and restoration.

Besides working in several businesses I produce Halo themed paintball events.
I don't have much time to build props, always looking to buy and never recast or resale.
Looking for Halo 4 PROMETHEAN WEAPONS for paintball props.
Such as Scattershot, boltshot, Z-130 Suppressor, and really looking for the pulse grenade.
I have bought many assembled Pepakura props and finished myself.

My first cosplaying experience was an Ezio Auditore costume, but I've been looking to do something a little more complex, so I'm going for a Nanosuit v2 from Crysis 2. I've already started working with the pep files, and once I start on the actual build I'll make a thread.

Hello everyone, I'm Jimmie originally from Texas but currently living in Jacksonville, NC. I have always wanted to be a prop maker ever since I was a child but life had other plans for me. I ended up joining the Marine Corps out of high school and am still here today. I like to collect and make props when I can and stumbled across this site while watching Adam Savage videos on youtube. Im sure everyone knows about his man cave vids. But he kept speaking of this site so i had to check it out. So far I have found so many threads of interest to read and will be doing so for a long while I am sure!!

I got permission from my Wife to make a Star Wars themed movie room in the house we will buy after I finish my degrees! I figured I better start planning now. I am pretty good with tools and working with wood, but I haven't built any movie prop replicas yet, hopefully this will change after I am done with school.

I am new to this site, I love making things, sometimes I do things the hard way but it's always fun
I have built a couple things in the past, for example: last year I made a Wheatley clock ,(wheatley from portal 2), I made a chell costume for halloween boots and all, I still have to finish making the portal gun. I will post photos of my portal gun when I get to it(but it has been put on the back burner because I have to finish a gift for someone).
My current project is making a model-sized replica of the brown coat serenity ship class firefly I have roughly two weeks to make this and I'll try to keep posting my progress.

I know several members here have met me at conventions or parties this past year here in Toronto and I've enjoyed conversing with everyone.
So I'm hoping those here can help me out when I need it and I'll do the same for those who ask.
