hey guys, i'm Kurtis. i've been building a 1:1 aluminum R2D2 over at Astromech, and people kept mentioning things on here, then when i started on my han solo costume i kept finding links to here... so now i'm here. looks like fun.

Howdy Folks,
I am a traditional blacksmith & interested in all things metal. I just completed a version of the tomahawk used in Assassin's Creed 3. I have posted pictures of the project on this site under "Replica Props" titled Assassin's Creed 3 Tomahawk.

Alright. So I decided that I would go ahead and introduce myself. My name is James, I'm a soldier in the US Army. I am married with one child. I am a noob to pepakura. I can't remember what it was that I was looking at when I came across pepakura that got me interested. But I can tell you this. My wife loves that I found a new hobby but is pissed with how much time I spend on the computer doing it. Anyways I hope to talk to some of you eventually and I will be looking around for info on how to make some of the bad ass costumes that I have seen recently.

Hello every one.
I am lucky enough to work in the vfx industry here in l.a. i would love to switch over to practical effects some day, so I've been researching and trying my hand in building a few things here and there. This Halloween i made my first iron man suit out of foam thanks to stealth.. and his you tube tutorials.

Hiya everyone, my name is Jim and I am a huge BTTF fan. I work in tech support for a 12 volt electronics company. Hobbies inclued diecast collecting (F1, WEC, ALMS) custom decal design and printing for 1:18 racing models, World of Warcraft and now trying to start a little BTTF collection ;-)

Hey All, I'm Mike or DZ per my forum name. I'm also TK9664 of the CCG and I'm about 90% done with my Bikerscout suit, so I should soon be TB9664 too! I love costuming and I'm looking into completing an Amon costume from the Legend of Korra, a Cobra soldier costume and eventually tackling a G1 Soundwave suit. Big ambitions on that one for sure. Looking forward to continuing my prop building/costuming education!

Hey gang! I'm sure that I know a lot of you from the convention and costuming circuit, but I likely won't recognize your usernames on here for the most part. I'm Dustin Dorough and am mostly well-known as bone-claw Wolverine and Superman, but it seems a lot of people know me as that "Hospital Heroes" guy.
I used to be pretty heavy into propmaking and I did that as a bit of a side-business for a little while. Now I'm the official emcee for the Spartan Race (SPARTAN RACE Obstacle Racing - Spartan Sprint & Super Spartan obstacle course trail races and the Spartan Beast and Death Race endurance race) and I spend too much time traveling in order to really spend any time in my workshop. I do miss it so greatly. I've been lurking this site for quite a long time and I was able to learn quite a lot. Now, though, I have questions that haven't been able to be answered with the "Search" feature, so I'm going to do my best to become a more active part of the RPF community. I'm constantly on the road for work, so I'm not sure how often I'll be able to check in, but I do very much hope to be able to pay forward all of the knowledge I've gained here and still learn much more from the immensely talented group that has gathered in this digital haven of creative minds.

Morning all. I'm living in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England. I joined the forum as i own a Stormtrooper uniform and have been looking to upgrade how the suit is attached to me (bit fed up of velcro flying at high speed into my flesh). Huge Star Wars fan, so very interested to see what other projects people have done on here.

Hi there!
I used to make and sculpt lots of things for my own enjoyment -now I have the urge to get back into making stuff! Clone Troopers being my main interest, Phase 3 and TOR 'Havoc' Troopers.
Hoping to learn lots, make friends and have fun.
Also, really need to find good threads on 'how to' make helmets and such, as I have always sculpted organic beings before, not things that are 'manufactured' if you get my drift. So hoping for some good tutorials somewhere! ;-)
