Hello party people.
so I found the rpf a while ago. was looking for halo and stormtrooper, armour type costumes in general.
i have always loved movies, and since a i was kid, the swords and guns and other fancy gizmos have always drawn me in. I have always been of the philosophy that a cape, a weapon, and a good imagination is all you need to be your favorite characters. :$
anywho, i love all of the extremely talented work on this forum, I only wish i could do stuff like this so well.

Hiya all. I'm from Perth in Western Australia. I've recently decided to make a Halo suit, and have been a fan of all your works for a while so thought I would join up. And would love to make a mando outfit as well at some stage...I work and study, so when I have something due I'm sure I'll procrastinate with glorious costume making :D

HI,

New to the site of course. With the upcoming release of the Hobbit this year, I am in the early process of making my own Gandalf the Gray costume. I came across this site while researching.

So far I have Glamdring from United Cutlery and have constructed my own "inspired" staff. Now, let's see if I can post a pic.

My name is Jesse, and I'm new to replica prop building.

At one of the Texas Frightmare Weekend conventions a few years ago, I realized that I would rather have the actors sign items than 8x10 photos. Since then, I have been collecting various skills related to prop building, including soldering, welding, blacksmithing, CNC laser cutting, and more. I joined a local Hackerspace so I would have access to better tools than I can afford, and have been happily making things ever since.

I am particularly interested in making character models, stop-motion animation figures, animatronic figures, and automatons.

hello internet i have been building things since i was a kid, everything from walls in a house to model rockets. i have been working for a vaudeville show for over 4 years now building sets props costumes. i just built a sedan chair for a burlesque act. i came here to get techniques and support for a better show. not everything i post will be a replica but your input is greatly appreciated. i am always looking for something new to learn or a skill to share. my Halloween costumes are usually comic based.

I'm wanting to expand my prop collection and hopefully pick up enough knowledge to start putting a few of my own things together and this seems like the place to be.
Star Wars and Indy are my main focus but who knows where this may lead.

Hi,

I stumbled on this site while researching a Y-Wing profile art project I've been working on, styled like the side view profiles of aircraft you can see in magazines and books. I enjoyed the forum so much when I was reading that I thought I would join up and I'm looking to get into modeling and CG work too in the future.

Hi All,

I joined a while a go but never got round to introducing, I've attempted pepping an Iron man helmet previously but never got it finished. I don't have a lot of spare time but love reading the threads when I get a chance and seeing what cool stuff people are making... wishing I could make some of the props etc.

Hey everyone

My name is Chris. I'm interested in all sorts of sci-fi and movie props/models. I have been looking at the rpf on and off for the past year or so always seeing the neat new prop that would come out but never registering because I never had anything to show myself. Well I'm almost done with my paint booth and dusting off my models and working on a figure model to cast eventually also. So hopefully soon all post a thread up showing my new works and all get some constructive feedback.
