Hi, I'm a newbie from the UK.

I've just decided to start making my own costume - Alice from Resident Evil Extinction. I came across this site while trying to find tips for various bits of the costume, so far it's been the most helpful thing I've found! Unfortunately it looks like there are a couple of things that can only be found in the US so I'll have to come up with things that look near enough, but I hope to post pictures as I go along!

Hello everyone,

I'm Roland, living in the lovely country of Holland (NOT Germany! ) a country seriously lacking prop making materials and the knowledge that goes with it. I have been working costumes and props for LARP for a long time now and have been toying around with papercraft as well (creating moldels, making them en reinforcing them for actual use). I'm a composer by profession but anything creative has my attention and I sincerely hope to learn a lot about materials and techniques as well as places to buy your materials at. ...and a little inspiration of course

Spent 2 1/2 weeks in Den Haag several years ago. Had a fantastic time. Great country to visit.

Hello all

My name is Markus and I work in the Special effects field. I mainly like working with props and large style monster builds. currently I am working on a live traveling show that requires a bunch of life-size dinosaurs so I have been busy scaling and sculpting. I currently live in Canada in the Greater Toronto Area. joined replica prop forum awhile ago but haven't spent much time here or made many posts but I am planning on changing that. looking forward to seeing a lot of amazing works from fellow artists and engineers.

I made an account a while ago, but never got around to introducing myself! Just thought I'd drop by and say hey. Also, I'm a huge Fallout fan, so it's very likely that you'll find me lurking around the Fallout threads asking questions. I've been working on a Vault Dweller and Veteran Ranger costume to wear at cons, so I'll most likely be posting pics of those.

my name is Michael and i have just started to build my first SW body armor. Since i was a boy i always wanted a biker scout armor, but i wanted to build it not to buy. having gained some experience in different materials while doing my x-wing suit in now feel ready for a project like that ...why i had to register to the forum to do that? well i´d figured that sometimes its worth looking how others do stuff...so here i am...

Hello All. I am Cabusi. I am a photographer and I shoot many anime and comic events here in California. I got talked into cosplaying (one time only) so now I need to learn how to make a prop for this character. Good to meet you all, I'm T and I love props and replicas.

The only thing I can think of I have an adoration for besides a good star wars helmet or mass effect doohickey is comics which I'm currently building a career in as an inking assistant on a few DC titiles.

Admittedly I joined this place on a quest to aquire a Tali helmet (Yes I'm one of those people...) but looking around...I really hope I can maybe make a few friends here- hell we obviously all share an interest and what better to build a bond on then that?

Heh. Well a little about myself...First and foremost I'm a freelance illustrator and although I dabble in prop making I'm more of a collector. Oh I can make a mask or weapon or two but I'm still far from an expert (hopefully you guys can teach me a thing or two) and feel more comfortable with making art in a er...less 3 dimensional medium.

Greetings and Salutations one and all. I've been here for a while now, maily lurking but I finally registered last year while I was working on my Anubis Guard costume from the Stargate Movie. The year previous I made a Pyramid Head costume from Silent Hill, this year however I'm planning to step up my game a bit and make a Skeksi costume from The Dark Crystal movie.

Hi everyone! I've lurked here for a long time and finally looking at a brand new project. I'm an Event Coordinator in the 501st Legion (UK Garrison) and I've built a Stormtrooper and a Biker Scout to date. Currently working on a new Stormtrooper, just finished a VOC Robot mhelmet from Doctor Who and I'm now working on a wearable robot suit based on a character from my own series of sci-fi novels. Although I have a few years experience in prop and set building, I'm a little rusty and would appreciate any advice and tips along the way. Cheers! Terry UK
