Hi all,

The name's Rebecca; I'm currently based in California. I've been lurking around for a while, but finally decided to introduce myself. I originally found myself here after noting that there was an upcoming run in the Junkyard of something I was dying to have...and then the exploration of cool stuff kept going. I'm currently working on my first project/mod, a sci-fi/steampunking of a small Nerf gun I had lying around.

I used to make props, (well here and there) mostly in clay...
I'm a 3D artist.
Now I'm getting back to modelling.

Hello to everyone on the RPF.
I live in Wales, love most things Sci-fi & have been collecting props for a good few years. I must admit though, Dredd is number one. The ABC WARRIOR- MEAN MACHINE & of course the Street judges. For me a Dredd/ judge <movie type> costume is my holy grail- like most people, I have a few pieces & I'm looking for a few too- So any help is very welcome & greatly apprciated..
Also love the Heavy metal comic version- Simon Bisley's detail is just awesome.--"Creep ignored my warning- so I pulled out my gun !!- Fires SIX kinds of bullets- I gave him NUMBER ONE!!! " hAHA Love that sketch

I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Will and I'm a costume and propaholic. I am interested in beginning to build my own props. My interest runs all things geek. In the near future I will be building a Ghostbuster rig. I am going to be asking questions from time to time. As I learn I hope to share with those who may need advice. I also love moonlit walks on the beach and if elected Miss errrr Mr RPF I promise not to embroil the form in controversy!

Tommunist here in Buffalo, NY. No skills in replica prop making, but appreciation nonetheless for those that have the chops! Star Trek, Star Wars, Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, Batman and Superman are my standard faves, and have replicas from each. Lately, newspaper props have been an interest of mine. Have purcahsed a few things from some of the RPF'ers eBay auctions, and am running out of display room!

Good morning - my name is Ned and I'm based out of Virginia. Long time lurked, first time actully signing up - I love to costume and collect props - mostly from Firefly/Serenity, BSG, and SST. I am currently on the hunt for some SST armor and a helmet - so that is my next project.

Currently finishing up a hand sewn 3x5 Alliance flag from Firefly.

Can't wait to see what else this forum has to offer.

I found this place searching for Halloween ideas. Needless to say- FANTASTIC!

I am having a bit of difficulty uploading some pics for profile, and I dont know how to post pics in a thread.

I like to consider myself talented and gifted with my hands. Given the right tools and supplies- I can pretty much make anything (I'm sure I'm not the only one-LOL)

Any pointers and critiques are welcomed.

I thought I'd make my first post an intro... looking at this forum it's so overwhelming... it just boggles my mind and makes me think I don't have much to offer lol. Still everyone has to start somewhere and you seem such a friendly lot of talented people.

I have just gotten into modding Nerf and other guns.. about 7 weeks ago. I'm finding it lots of fun and it gets the old imagination whirring which I like.

I found my way to the RPF when looking for R2D2 blueprints for a Nerf mod I was attempting and my mind was blown. I ended up on here for hours just reading and looking at all you clever folks and your amazing projects.

Anyway.. that's me.. gamer, geek and wannabe weapons prop maker.

Hey everyone!
While surfing the net, I came across this wonderful resource and decided to join!
I am currently the Assistant Team Leader for my Stargate group, SG9. I also do Klingon with the IKV Devastator as the Tactical Officer. I have an unapproved Imperial Officer outfit which I am still working on, and currently working on the flight suit for the new designation, Reserve Pilot. I hope to one day have the completed T.I.E. armor.
I have just recently moved to a house in Greensboro, NC, where I now have *drum roll* a WORKSHOP! Finally, space to build props.
The only props I have built so far is the replica Stargate I have out of foam core and cardboard, and the shoulder pieces to my Comedian that I made out of cardboard and duct tape.
I am really looking forward to working with resins and may graduate, at some point and time, to vacuuforming.

I hope to glean as much information as I can about prop building, and hope I can add my knowledge to this wonderful board!

Brand spankin new to the site and I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. I'm from SC but live in Florida now. Currently military but I will be done with that soon enough. Never lurked, nor ever been here before... until last week when a real life friend pointed me in the direction of some wicked TARDIS pieces. Couldn't see them as a non-member, so there's my reason for joining.

I do love props and costumes - scifi orientated but recently drifting more into the fantasy and steampunk realms.

I'm not the most handy of people but I do get aound, though I just try, try, try and try again.

I'm a future 3D artist so the world of moddeling is opening itself to me at this point.

Hey everyone! I have been waiting to get on this forum for a long time. I've custom built a Mandalorian costume (see below) and my son's custom Mando (he's 11). I started with a not so screen accurate Boba that I built in my yard because I don't have a garage or proper tools, but built the gauntlets from scratch without vacuuforming. I currently am looking to get into building just random props.

My next project?

A Captain Jack Sparrow hat made from leather.

Possibly a wool buccaneer coat (once I find a good authentic pattern)
