Hello all!
I've been using RPF for a while... never really thought of joining up until about 5 minutes ago... this should be an entertaining and insightful time.
I'm a swordsmith; I can make simple-to-moderately challenging blades. I've made Legolas' elven knives, a (very good) Jack Sparrow costume, and I can make chainmail. Currently I'm working on a very detailed Aragorn costume.

i'm john. stumbled upon this site when i was trying to build a costume and was just amazed by the 3d building with the pep files. i think i'll stick around and see if i can learn a few things!

I'm Will. Admittedly I first became interested in prop and costume making because of my love for anime, and comic/ anime conventions that roll through my neck of the woods every year. But since I've found the rpf, my interests have grown substantially, and i've already started on building my first real prop. The Guy-Manuel De Homem-Cristo helmet from the dynamic duo of Daft Punk. I'm sure I'm probably doing it one of the stupidest ways possible, but hopefully i can pick up some pointers and learn how to do this properly.

My name is Brad. I lurk here quite often, but now that I am starting a couple prop builds it seems I should be active.
My first is Rich Coyle Blade Runner blaster kit. I am knee deep in it learning as I go. Next up will be a Greedo Killer.
Original SW fan. Sat in the theater opening day at 6 years old and had my life altered. Seen every one since opening day too. All the usual traits...figures, toys, comics, and general geekery.
Great place to be.

I'm Adam Davis, and I do electronics and software (hardware and software engineering). I dabble in a wide variety of areas, and enjoy learning and using new prototyping and modeling techniques.
I have a client who has asked me to do the electronics for his Daft Punk helmet (Volpin pull), so I'm joining this community to get a better idea of what this is all about and see what others are doing for their DP helmet electronic packages.
From what I've read so far, this is an awesome community, and I've already learned a lot just by reading around here. Thanks to everyone for all your contributions!

I've got a request for everyone - I am developing a website www.movieminiatures.com dedicated to all aspects of models in the movies, but it's just a hobby site that needs lots of new content to be worthwhile. rpf seems to be the best site for information on actual miniatures, so anyone who owns copyright to images or video that would help to build my site, please contact me at movieminiatures@aol.co.uk

I havn't really made any props and costumes before but since started looking around here found pepakura so thought would give it a go. First pep peice was dungbeetle's Green Goblin Helmet will post build once it's finished.

I'm new, but i'm not on par with ANYONE on here, I can't replicate crap and have very little artistic skill. I can do lots of technical stuff like fix computers, do graphic arts, and DJ various styles of music on turntables... but damn i'll never be like the rest of you. I'd love to learn and maybe someday it can be a half assed hobby of mine. For now i'm here to drop my jaw in disbelief and hopefully get some people to help hook me up with something awesome.

The Mad Scientist me likes to tinker with things, but haven't really made any replicas, yet, due to lack of time.
Mainly been collecting props and costumes, and lurking here and there.
