re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hey everyone, I just joined this site about a week ago.

I am currently a member of the 501st with a royal guard and darth revan costume and about to start work on an animated clone within the next few weeks.

I've become very interested in learning the in and out of scratch building my own armor and props. For an easy starter project I am very interested in scratch building shredder from the original '87 TMNT cartoon.

I look forward to reading up and learning from everyone's wisdom here

Hello all my name is Aaron, I have always had a huge interest in props and costume making. I am an amateur kilt maker, and have made a few static props. I have recently been making alot of Star Wars stuff with my nephew. He is 16 and has MD, but that is nothing for him as he is doing everything he can to make his dream of being the next Lucus real. I just helped him build some blasters and stunt sabers for one of his films. Well that's me.

Hello, totally love this place. I look forward to reading as much of the old post as possible. What a wealth of information is collected here. Love seeing all the props
and amazing movie memorabilia. Have a few items and a lot of questions I will post sometime.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hey all,

I have just gained an interest in prop building, so I joined so I could comment on the sweet props everyone is building and hopefully contribute some of my own.

(As well as ask for helpful advice if I have any problems since I am just getting started. :))

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

I've been deeply obsessed with Star Wars and it's inner workings for a very long time. It's nice to know that there are many folks with the same level of obsession, and that my secondary obsessions for models and miniatures, props, schematics, behind the scene stills and all sorts of other minutia, has a lot of crossover.

I haven't known about the RPF for very long, but I'm glad I do now. Thanks everyone for making it all possible!

Hello All! I'm Stephanie, call me any variation thereof, and I live in beautiful Southern California. I'm finishing up two costumes for the 501st (an Imperial Gunner and a Biker Scout) with a few other costumes cobbled together over the years. I love comic books, movies (especially musicals, classics, and scifi/fantasy) and music. I carry many hobbies, but lack most of the knowledge to complete the task. Hopefully this forum will fuel my creativity. Or, at the very least, inspire me to do more then go "wow, that's cool, wish I had done that!"

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hey guys. I am not really new Ive been a member for 2 1/2 years or so but have not really ever posted so I am officially introducing myself. Whats up? I am mostly a star wars prop collector and a member of the r2 builders. My favorite prop is R2 of coarse. Here are a few pieces. Enjoy.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi all, I'm Ian and I've been visiting occasionally for particular topics for a while and recently joined as there is quite a bit I'd like to share, comment on and ask about.
I have been collecting Aliens, Predator, Terminator and Back to the Future after first seeing each movie. I have since concentrated on Predator as I have always found it my most inspiring movie character, I have a vast collection of props and merchandise and try to own one of almost everything to include in my Predator collection/archive.
I have always tried to stay artistic and creative in both school and pastimes hobbies. Model making was an idea place to start, I also enjoy DIY jobs which usually involve making storage for my ever growing collection.
I also have most making of and art of books made about the movies I like, along with Profiles in History catalogs and Cinefex magazine they provide a wealth of ideas for me to feed on. I usually have quite a few unfinished projects on the go and my ideas usually develop midway and help to improve the final result.
I love anything Sci-fi, most horror and fantasy.

Hello fellow prop enthusiasts - My name is John and I am from Western Australia and I have been a fan of this site for years who has finally managed to join :) I have made numerous props (recreations and original works) and hope to get some images up soon. I can't wait to pick your brains - figuratively, not literally as that would be disgusting...

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

I'm Josh...I'm a corporate automaton with some latent artistic talent that is currently being squandered. I'm hoping to learn some great tips/tricks/techniques from all you prop veterans, along with documenting my various builds/projects as I go along in the hope that fellow prop newbies like myself can learn from the experience. Up until now I've mainly just been doing artwork based on my favorite videogames, and I figure prop making is the next logical step.
I look forward to dealing with everyone!

Greetings! I'm Mark from Rhode Island, an engineer who's been fascinated by props and propmaking for a long time. Been lurking here for a while, and finally decided to join in.

And I'm relieved to find so many others more obsessed than me....

Hi there, from the UK,
I'm Gary and I finally made it! Discovered the RPF through membership of the 501st, but registration was closed whenever I checked the site. Sruck lucky this time, so here I am.
Interests are many and varied, too many good characters out there to pick a favourite, but as I'm 501st, I've gotta say Stormtrooper armour as an interest. I have a Stormie and Blackhole Trooper armour along with various blasters, sabres etc.
Almost finished a TDK Batman suit. Another interest is sword and sorcery/medieval costumes. I have a full 13th century knight costume (the mail was fun!) and various prop swords from many films.
A particular favourite is a hand forged copy of the Templar sword from the Hellgate London computer game. I would love a set of the Templar armour from the that game, so maybe, one day.
Anyway, that's me, thanks for letting me play in here and I look forward to meeting many of you.

Guess I should say Hi! My name is Vicky and I live in the UK. I've been a member of the RPF for years but mainly just lurked or commented saying "that's awesome!". Some people may already know me from SFH or Aliens Legacy. I'd love to get more into costume building but having two small children means my time is limited. However I do having lots of WIP projects from Stargate SG-1, Aliens, Space: Above and Beyond, Firefly and Halo. Who knows, maybe I'll get round to posting some of them. ;) Catch you guys and gals later!

Hello from Tucson!

Hey guys, My name is Dustin, and I'm an amatuer prop builder. I make a few things and have mostly focused on Tusken Raiders for my garrison, and the 501st!
I have built 6 complete 501st approved Tuskens and make numerous "poor man's" kits which have ended up as Tusken makss for other 501st members!

I am not really a sculptor, I am much better at sourcing a shape, and then using bondo, resin and fiberglass to cut, sand and trim it intot he shape I want. For instance, I have started branching out into non-star wars props, and decided I wanted some of the coolest superhero props I loved from my youth! The first I started with was Dr. Fate's helmet!
I am also started a Black Manta helmet with the intent to make everything so I can offer it as a kit, I'll post WIP pics up soon! Otherwise I have a few things in the works and will post pics soon!
