re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi Everyone

Like many of you I'm a jack of all trades sci-fi geek that likes prop replicas. I buy them when they are reasonably priced and since the QMx Tesla recently broke that rule, I have decided to give making one a shot. I look forward to learning a lot from your experience and postings and hope to contribute as best I can to the hive mind :)

Hello guys,

I'm Beatriz and I found out about RPF and the replica movie props while searching for some Harry Potter DIY props. I want to thank all the people who spent their time and tallent doing all of these fantastic props and tutorials for the fans :)

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi everyone -

My name is Tim (Interstait). I found the RPF by doing searches for Firefly stuff. I'm a huge fan of sci-fi mostly. I've been building models since I was a little kid. Now that I'm older I'd like to take it to the next level and start making props and such from scratch. I'm thankful for all of the great people on this forum for not only inspiring me, but for also helping educate me.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hey guys! I'm new here and I love props that take a noticing eye to see. For example, I have a pendant from Smallville, the episode was Relic if any of you remember this show or episode. I found the site by trying to find a Sam Flynn Tron Pendant. I hope that the guy still has some in stock!! So far of what I've seen this site has been pretty awesome! Hope to get to know some of you soon!

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hey guys,

Been on here for a while now, joined after a search for the holy grail of BTTF props-Marty's Jacket. Since then I've been admiring the handiwork of a lot of members here and picking up some extremely useful info and even managed to get hold of a few props from BTTF. This site has been the source of many a late night searching and red eyes, just staring in amazement at the attention to detail and ingenuity of most members here. Looking forward to being on here for a long time and one day creating my own prop.

I'm Mark aka GreyLocke

It's not the greylocke of the mmporg or what ever that it. It means Grey Beard and I do have one. I am a blogger, amateur film maker and I'm hoping to learn how to make some of the props for a small movie starring my 7 kids. I live north of Corpus Christi Texas and south of Houston about a mile from the Gulf. I used to build and customize black powder firearms for my ex-father in law's gunshop in North St. Louis County Missouri. If anyone has a question about antique firearms I may be able to help.

Hello everyone

My name's Michael, and I've only just discovered this wonderful site. I've always been interested in modelling and the process of building models. My skills aren't anything to write home about, but I hope to get better and better. I'm studying mechanical engineering at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, and I think the skills I could learn here would be of great value towards that.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

My real name is David, I have been looking around the RPF for a couple months now, mainly looking at Iron Man stuff since i'm a really big Iron man fan. I actually am currently working on a solo scratch build of a Mark 6 Iron Man suit that is set to debut around Halloween of this year. I also plan to make the Mark 4 suit, the suit that Tony uses in the upcoming Avengers movie, and the the suits in Iron Man 3. I have loved building, innovating, and making things work since I was 7 and my skills have kept growing rapidly with each year that passes. I am great with anything mechanical and am starting to enter the world of electrical.

I am actually a lot younger than most of the members here on the RPF, but that doesn't mean you should treat me as anything less. :)

Hi I'm a professional CG Modeler, Texture Painter and VFX artist. I've visited this website before enjoying all the cool work. Now that I created my 1st real world prop, as in not CG, I decided to join.
I created in Modo a Green Lantern ring which is a replica of the artist's Ivan Reis design that appeared in Green Lantern: "Blackest Night". I loved the design (better than just a circle with two attached lines this was a 3D carving of the logo really resembling the lantern). I then 3D printed it in Polyamide plastic through shapeways.com . I primed it and painted it. I made 10 of these and gave them out at Comic-Con and kept one. They were a big hit!

Hi everyone! I just wanted everyone to meet me. It's a pleasure. I'm pretty much the #1 member here on the boards. Feel free to post about how handsome I am.

I hope you all enjoy the RPF. Be sure to use the SEARCH feature.

what up people,
i was watching an indy mogul video and when zack mentioned this i instantly opened a new tab and put this in the url. i love dyi's and im trying to look on how to build mass effect 2 kestrel armor and many ohters. i wanna be that guy at the convention with a badass cosplay for once and have random people take their pics with me. i also want to make movies with my twin bro who wants to get into the film business. so any help i can receive from people who know what they're doing i would really appreciate it.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi all. I've been a member for a bit but lurking about, mainly because I've never used a forum before. It was propmex that reminded me that I used to make props for all the games me and my little bro used to play. I even remember making the ghostbusters proton pack as well. I spent the best part of my young adulthood reluctantly learning craft based skills (from felt making to boat building and loads in-between). It was finding this forum by chance that I realised that I could do this too. Awesome!!!

and to all the effort and love put into the projects on here

Awesome!!!

hello all.found this by accident was searching the net for costume pieces and found this.I love costume making mostly horror, sci fi.have a costum werewolf, couple of predator costumes and right noe working on a demon Jason costume.I am a member of th hunters lair.i love going to horror conventions.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Greetings everyone. My name is Spencer and I'm a middle-aged geek that discovered conventions later in life. One of my best moments there was when my Men in Black costume got me into the S.H.I.E.L.D detail at DragonCon.

I've always been fascinated by the DIY crowd and so many people here have that creative talent. I married a woman that is fantastic with textiles but has a day job and can't indulge my costuming whims as often as I would like.

This forum is top notch. Now if I only had the revenue stream to match! :)
